It doesn’t look like Lindsey Graham’s visit to Egypt (at the president’s request) did anything to calm the generals, but I think this response is a bit extreme:
State Sen. Lee Bright announced his candidacy Tuesday for the GOP nomination for the U.S. Senate, calling incumbent Republican U.S. Sen. Lindsey Graham “a community organizer for the Muslim Brotherhood.”
“During the (congressional) recess, when I would hope that he would be around folks in South Carolina, getting their feelings on so many issues that affect their lives, he has instead chosen to take his time to be a community organizer for the Muslim Brotherhood and that concerns me,” Bright told supporters in a conference call. “He needs to spend more time listening to what the brothers in South Carolina have to say.”
The Crazy goes to 11.
State Senator Bright is in the running for Most Ironic GOP Politician Name.
as in, “the stupid is bright with this one.”
Has anyone actually looked into whether Bright is a Trojan horse? Doesn’t Mini-me already have a primary opponent? Regardless, pass the popcorn if Bright is going to carry on like the above quote.
South Carolina could get very interesting in 2014. Shenanigans are a way of life in South Carolina politics.
Slate has a photo-essay of the KKK, here:

Take a look. In one way it’s comic, in another way it’s pathetic, and then it’s scary too. This is the army of our fascist overlords. I am reminded of an Elvis Costello song: “You think they’re so dumb. You think they’re so funny. Just wait until they get you running to the night rally.”
Such enjoyable news! Looking forward to more news of South Carolinians suffocating on their own stupidity, all the way from now to November ’14.
I’m made mindful of the line from “The Godfather”, after Don Corleone is unsuccessful in trying to persuade the Families to stay out of the drug trade. As the regional Mafia finalizes its decision to extract profit from pushing heroin in the black ghettoes, one of the Dons rationalizes, “They’re animals anyway. Let them lose their souls.”
I have a similar response to the Tea Party v. GOP Establishment battle.
Question for everyone: in my analogy here, is the Voting Rights Act decision the heroin and the Citizens United decision the cocaine?
“Community organizer” and “Muslim Brotherhood” all in six words. If Mr. Bright can wedge in “pallin’ around” and how he can see Cuba from his porch, I think we have a worthy successor to the half-term halfwit.
They passed 11 a long time ago. I think the current record, tied several times, is at 36.
And I dream of the day when they’re pitching a fit because, as they told the guy over and over, on the billboard the Tea Party’s name was supposed to appear before the puppet show.
Graham, as an effective advocate of duplicity that he is, should be unstoppable for another term, but South Carolina is pretty much the ninth circle of Hell.
.
“a community organizer for the Muslim Brotherhood”
These four words spell Barack Hussein Obama. Doing Obama’s bidding in Cairo, and meeting with Muslim
Brothers list both according to the Repug rulebook as a TRAITOR. The white folks do understand.
Yeah, seriously. That’s not a dog whistle. It’s a sousaphone.
Wants South Carolina to mint its own currency.
Pretty unusual for a white Republican in SC to worry about
