I remember Jerry Remy as a light-hitting second baseman for the hated Boston Red Sox of my youth. He seemed like a classy guy. New Englanders probably know him better as the long-time broadcaster of Red Sox games. Unfortunately, Jerry’s son is a lunatic who murdered his girlfriend last night with a knife. Considering his rap sheet, he should have been in prison instead of free on his own recognizance. We don’t take violence against women seriously enough.
