Welcome to Friday Foto Flogging, a place to share your photos and photography news.
This Month’s Theme: Pineapple Upside-down Cake
All photographs are memento mori. To take a photograph is to participate in another person’s (or thing’s) mortality, vulnerability, mutability. Precisely by slicing out this moment and freezing it, all photographs testify to time’s relentless melt.”

Bob, seeing how you interpreted the theme put a nice smile on my face. Thanks.
I agree – big smile. 🙂
Thanks, the both of you.
This is first because it’s the best impression.
This one was a nice try but it’s bit more sideways than upside down.
This one went for a more artistic attempt for its impression.
Ha! Bebo knows how to work a theme. 😀
The bottom one is beautiful. Lovely.
Great set, romantic foliage shot.
Pines Upside-down
Upside Now Down
The squirrels are working our elm now, beautiful foliage.
Nice kitty!
(I’ve since learned the correct way to shoot through chain link fence.)
Bebo says “hey, I’ve a got a twin”. 🙂
Just imagine a 700 lb. Bebo!
Very happy kitty just wants a belly rub, although I’m afraid to loose an arm.
A few thoughts on the “correctness” of fence depth of field. Your photo works because the fence is in focus showing us a very playful but at the same time very dangerous animal. It depends on what the photographer intends to convey to the viewer. Both ways are workable.
I’ve thoroughly enjoyed this place to share my photos with you in the past and hope to do so in the future. After all the (mostly positive) feedback from you guys and elsewhere, I’ve finally gotten around to creating a website for my photos. Would appreciate it if you would check it out and tell me what you think:

There’s also a facebook page if you want to get updates:

Now for this week’s theme:
Thanks for the link to your website, Sven. It looks greats and you gave it a fantastic name.
I really like the way you shot the street sign — the angle gives it a sense of movement.
That is an awesome interpretation of the theme. Thanks Sven.
