If you were planning to celebrate the departure from Congress next year of Georgian congressmen Paul Broun and Phil Gingrey, you may want to think again. As Ed Kilgore details at the Washington Monthly, their likely replacements are at least as crazy, if not crazier. You may soon know the names of Rev. Jody Hice and Barry Loudermilk. And Dr. Bob Johnson is likely to make stunning headlines, as well. These are folks who do not believe in the separation of church and state, for starters, and they’re all prone to saying dumb shit that will just make your jaw drop.

At this point, I don’t think crazier is any worse than crazy. Neither will allow anything to be done. At least they lose seniority.
Well, in their defense, Rachel Maddow is sometimes quite sarcastic.
And to think that I didn’t even read it in the Washington Monthly.
For those that missed Brian Slowinski’s unbelievable music video campaign ad, it appears not to be currently available.

Well, as one who’s working in Nunn’s campaign, electing a Blue Dog Democrat is far preferable to electing David Perdue and adding to the Republican obstructionism in the Senate. Perdue is such an arrogant jerk in his ads, if only because he held himself out as something extra special because he was CEO of Dollar General. As one who’s been in their stores, he’s no friend to the little guy. And, their stores aren’t very appealing either. Kingston may be crazy conservative, but he always had a reputation of being somewhat sane and thoughtful.
And, by the way, it seems that Grimes in Kentucky has been as reluctant to align herself with Democratic policies and Obama as has Nunn. FYI, the young 20 something males running Nunn’s regional campaign office here and who are from out-of-state think she’s going to win, but it’s way early to be making any prognostications. But she/we’ve got a few weeks to to focus on registration of new voters including those whose registration lapsed because of the onerous voter id law of a couple or so years ago.
