Nice set, Bob — especially those “exploding” flowers.
Love the overall red/orange in your shots. The actual fireworks shot is fantastic and the flowers are wonderful.
Thanks Andi, the fireworks shot was during the finale and was the only shot of that group that was sharp and colorful.
I agree with what Andi and Olivia said. Great work, Bob!
Thank you! 🙂
Cloudburst
Sunburst
Love what you did with the theme! I was hoping for some interesting interpretation. Nice framing in Sunburst.
the cloudburst is very mythical. Astounding, really.
Fireworks florally.
And in the clouds.
I love those spiral flower shots. I could look at whole book of them and find each one of them fascinating. But I think my favorite flower shot in the group is the one of the black and pink IBs.
And I’m sure it can’t hurt to say again how amazing the cloud and plane photos are. 🙂
I’m with Andi, the spiral flowers are amazing.
Wow! The flower shots are amazing. My favorites are the ones on the right. Especially love the one in the middle with the sprinkling of black. But also the lower right one. the lines really draw you to the center. Amazing work!
Planted these little firecrackers next to our front porch several years ago. I think of them as our Dr. Seuss flowers.
Calling those “showy” would be an understatement. 🙂
It’s a beautiful shot, do you happen to know the name of the plant? It would be a nice addition to the landscape.
Its Bee Balm, a perennial that requires almost no care at all. You can eat it, make tea and explore its medicinal qualities, although we just enjoy it for its showy appearance and ability to attract bees and hummers. This particular variety grows to about 3′.
Thanks Indy, Mrs. X informed me she’s tried some and had a difficult time this far south. I suspect the heat, humidity, and overnight moisture combine in a lethal fungus-mildew rot, we run into that a lot with perennials that should grow here but won’t survive the summer.
Planting the garden in February always seemed really strange to me when I lived in south FL. I would get sewage sludge from the city plant and had lots of volunteer tomato and summer squash seedlings from it – also tons of plastic swizzle sticks 😉
There’s really a lot to see in this photo. A lot of wonderful details, especially with the water droplets.
Don’t have much time currently, but found a few minutes to come up with my own interpretations for this week’s theme. Enjoy!
You always find such original and fascinating ways of taking a photograph. I’m particularly wowed by the broken glass shot.
Great set, thanks for the time and stopping by, much appreciated. The B+W is a standout for me.
