For the new cafe with its beautiful decor.
You’re most welcome. Happy 2015, everyone!
Happy 2015 to you and yes, the decorating is lovely indeed.
Happy 2015 for you as well.
We needed some winter decor. 🙂
That old cafe was just getting worn in. Now we’ll have to start all over again.
We can trash this place in no time.
Food fight!
Hey b2, were you a Delta Tau Chi?
It’s all Greek to me.
Muchas gracias, Manny.

Heh. That’s totally appropriate to my week.
Sorry to have been so prescient. 😉

Very nice interplay of verticals and diagonals. That fallen tree really leads one’s eye.
Thanks. I liked the way the foreground fallen tree and the background one both seem to almost intersect with the fallen trees in the bottom of the hollow.
It was a great day trail building at the Sycamore Land Trust’s Laura Hare Nature Preserve at Downey Hill http://sycamorelandtrust.org/downey-hill with the Hoosier Hikers Council

Is that mushrooms with hollandaise sauce?
Mushsicles.
Uh oh – look out all you east coasters.
And today it’s almost 40 degrees.
We have 0.2 inch of snow now. Sorry for the 100X+ snow headed your way.
Hope you stay warm, safe, and electrified.

Cute photo.
Several inches of snow here but the big blizzard wasn’t.
Couldn’t be happier for an incorrect forecast. Unfortunately my friends in the Boston area weren’t as lucky.
Yeah, they got hit badly. Thankfully for us, the storm made a turn to the east.
They can handle it, though. Once I flew into Boston the day after a 23-inch snow and everywhere I went the streets were completely cleared (OTOH the parking lots could be quite an adventure — all that snow had to go somewhere).

Well, one can say fans keep up with world events …
Having a gruesome day?
Ouch.

Beautiful photo. It’s actually rather white here.
We are having a snowless winter here. I guess all our snow went east.
Take it back!
Ooooooh!
Getting to see (and photograph) sunsets and sunrises is my winter main pleasure.
That one was especially beautiful and a great capture!
Thanks.

We won’t be seeing that kind of scene for some time.
Now it’s covered by a great big 1/2 inch of snow. 😉
We’ve got about a foot with more coming Sunday. Sigh.
Yuck. My sympathies.
If you’d like to play in the new Froggy Bottom Cafe, send me an email and I’ll help you get a password so you can sign in.
I still had a password so I went over. The Cafe post says it has two comments but I don’t seem them and there’s no comment box. I looked another post that says it has comments but I don’t see those either.
Okay, thanks.
You had no problem signing in, though?
No problem with that.
Okay, please try again.
Commenting works now. I don’t if you intended to allow the posting of images in comments or not but I tried it and it didn’t work.
It should work now, but we’re looking into how to make it easier. Right now, it works like here. You need to paste the code in and do the html.
Can I get a password pretty please?
are you still using the same old Audi email?
You could send it there. Thanks.
Me too, me too! (There should be an email from me in your inbox)
I don’t see the email.
Can I use the one you used to set up your Booman account?
Yes, that’s still active ~ thanks.
Okay, check that old email account and I’ll meet you over at the new pond.
Why?
Why, what, Jim?
Do you want a password?
Is Booman Tribune closing?
sometime soon, yes.
Yes. then definitely I’d like an account there.
Thanks, Boo
Check your email. I sent it to Andi, too, just to make sure you get it.

Very cool!
I am fascinated by the weird and inexplicable (to me) patterns in the of frozen creeks.
Mesmerizing, aren’t they?
If you like frozen water, I can send you piles of it. 😉
Please do. It would break up this interminable gray-brown of an Indiana winter.
Hah! Be careful what you wish for. I recall a particularly wet and heavy snow in March some years ago, having been trapped with my engine company by a huge fallen tree enshrouded by power lines at 5 am at the east end of Four Mile Ridge Road. Had to wait a couple of hours for the power crew to come de-energize the lines before we could cut our way out. Good thing we were returning from the fire scene instead of trying to arrive.
New members are filtering in to the new cafe.
I’m getting this on that link. “Error establishing a database connection”
Thanks for the tip. Should be fixed now. Start up hiccups.

A daunting slope, apparently.
Nah — four paw drive can get up that easy-peasy. 🙂
(Actually she’s watching Sniff who for some reason had parked his butt further up the hill and was surveying the scenery — I guess Bebo was hoping he’d spotted something worth chasing).
Can we get a volunteer to put together a new cafe at the new place? I can help with the logistics.
How the hell did coyotes get to Princeton?
I hit a coyote on the Palisades parkway. It took off most of the front of my car.
Coyotes are eminently adaptable critters. They live in the woods around us and serenade us frequently. This is the birthing season. We had an especially fine coyote concerto a couple on nights ago. Have you read The Daily Coyote ?

Our ice is actually pretty thick given our below zero wind chills.
