Supposed to support Seattle because the gf went to high school with Russell Wilson. Ofc, I don’t care about football and it doesn’t really matter to me lol.
A friend of mine won a decent amount of money calling which teams would be in the game way back in April, so I’m sure he’s pretty happy at this line-up.
But for political reasons, why not just go for Seattle? All this brouhaha over demanding players speak to reporters? GMAFB.
Seahawks, I hope. We have friends in Seattle. My interest in this Superbowl is strictly as a party venue. We’re hanging out and eating snacks. Big whoop.
Just bout kickoff I spied a Dish Network 4×4 repair truck make its way up my hill, which has 4″ new snow on it. He made a wrong turn and couldn’t get turned around, a bit frazzled trying to get to a neighbor’s house who’s up in arms to watch the game. Chortle. Dogs went out to torment him, wouldn’t want his job today!
My daughter says it’s going to Missy Elliott, but I don’t even know what color uniforms she’s wearing. (Just kidding, Seattle, I hate football but that last touchdown was too pretty.)
99 times out of 100, that’s a touchdown. The call isn’t as bad as people claim. Honestly, did people bag on Whisenhunt this much for Warner’s pick six against the Steelers?
I agree. I’m a Seahawks fan and so am of course heartbroken. But it’s so easy to look back with 20/20 hindsight and see that it was a bad call. Sure they took a chance. But how many times does an obvious run play get stuffed three times in a row. That can happen too. Or a fumble can result from a run. Surprise is a big weapon in football so the call was a calculated risk. A great play resulted in the interception. Shit happens.
The funny thing is there’s really nothing to be heartbroken about. The season would have ended at the same time either way. A win gets me nothing and a loss costs me nothing. The notion of one over the other is entirely a mental construct. Pro sports is nothing more than entertainment for those of us participating. Was a great season and next year there’ll be another. Win or lose, everyone would start to think about next year. So, sure, frustrating to lose but it really makes not one whit of difference.

For my kids and grandkids in the Puget Sound region, of course it’s the Squawks.
The folks collecting the advertising dollars.

Apparently being a dad is awesome. Good to know.

Deion Sanders just said that that was the worst offensive play call in Super Bowl history.
Yup.
But it took an incredible defensive play to stop it.
This is what happens when you legalize marijuana.
Pete Carroll let them down.
Ahem: All you haters, DEFLATE THAT!
That is all.

Either #21 has mutant super speed, or that picture doesn’t show what you suppose it shows.
#21 made an amazing break on the ball. Sometimes the players just make plays.
Terrible last play call.
There is no reason that either Wilson or Lynch shouldn’t have taken it in.
That game was a lock after Kearse made that play. Then it was thrown away.
Luckily, it’s a game, and I have slightly less than 0.00000000001% concern over it.
It was still a terrible play call.
I started a comment. It grew. Now a standalone post.
PATRIOTS WIN!!! The…PATRIOTS WIN!!! Superbowl as prophecy.
But…buck up, Booman. If Patriots win, can Yankees be far behind?
Later…

Death to the Yankees. May they rot in Yankee hell.
It was a great night for me as a Patriots supporter.
Watched it streamed, real nice and can watch the ads at my leisure.
