I’m so mad about this that I can’t even write about it.

That man is truly insane
I hope that man dies a horrifically painful death.
I know that’s awful to say of anyone. I don’t care.
That is actually one of the kinder things i could think to say about him.
Disgusting.
Still Maine citizens voted for this POS. I dunno. Is this what they want? It’s horrid, but citizens seem to want this kind of heartless, mindless, nasty horrible way of being.
I don’t get it.
3 way race
Thanks for info. Is there any way to Impeach?
What a disaster.
No recall — impeachment is possible.
A good overview on LePage is here.
Well, Maine citizens voted for him. Just not the majority of Maine citizens.
First-past-the-post strikes again.

Vote using logic and reason, or using your heart. It’s your vote, so, vote accordingly. Just don’t pretend that there aren’t real life (and death) consequences in picking a candidate.
Very nearly half of the voters voted for him, so objectively 48% of Maine’s voters are perfectly happy with letting people die of overdoses.
I think this is a perfect example of Ahrendt’s “banality of evil”.
No thread for PRINCE?
I think we need one of those! Can you post it as a diary, and I will see if I can wrinkle my nose and make it appear on the front page? 😉
I assumed it wasn’t his type of music, very cool if it comes up on the FP.
Yeah, c’mon, we need a Prince thread. Smack him. 😉
If someone wants to start one, I will whoosh it to the front page…I’m surprised no one jumped on it yet. 🙂
Wonder what a Trump presidency would be like? Ask a Mainer.
Proving once again that elections matter.
Unanimous voice vote, they’ll probably overide his veto. They’ve done it before.
If ever there was a case for corporations engaging in civil disobedience, this would be it. The major drugstore chains in Maine should just do what they do in other states and sick their legal beagles on the state’s failure to authorize sanity.
One sick individual should not be able to single-handedly stop compassionate action in a democracy.
Hang the procedural roadblocks, just do it. And let the federal courts sort it out.
LePage is a moral dumpster fire if ever there was one. He’s a childish, rage-filled, bigoted idiot. One of the few governors who keeps Christie from lying at the very bottom of the barrel.
LePage makes a great poster child for the modern Republican party. All insanity, all insensitivity, all callow disregard for the needs of others — all the time.
You see, when you go around saying stuff like “Let he who is without sin cast the first stone” and “Love thy neighbor as thyself” you’re just contributing to the moral decay of society and we have to put a stop to that right now.
This seems like Republican orthodoxy to me. Of course a slicker politician would have a better idea when and how to choose his battles. But the idea that the primary role of government is to facilitate the punishment of the unworthy, that’s straight conservative worldview.
