I am having a hard enough time stomaching the news out of Orlando. I don’t have any tolerance for digesting the nonsense of Roger Stone or the politicization of the tragedy by Donald Trump. You’ll just have to excuse me, because this all makes me sick.

Me too. The odor emanating from the fever swamps is one of death, and it nauseates me.
I have avoided much of the media since this has happened. Getting my information in short snippets via selected internet sites. I cannot continue to be a part of the news media grist mill anymore on these horrific and seemingly never-ending events. But as has been the case since Sandy Hook, I simply don’t think anything is going to change. It is only going to get worse. Until our politics change, we are hostage to this uniquely American monster. The fact that this was, in large part, a hate crime against the LGBT community, and that in many ways this fact has been strategically glossed over and ignored by many reveals much about the collective rot of our humanity.
If a classroom full of dead and bullet-riddled six year olds didn’t move us, then a bar-full of dead homosexuals won’t even move the needle on the American soul. I wish we were better. Sadly, in many ways, we are not.
I got to call my new Senators today, to suggest that maaaaaaybe this time we should do something.
It’ll never happen of course, not until one of THEIR kids gets killed. And that will eventually happen.
Yesterday was a good day to work on music. Separate from the world.
Tonight will be a good night to watch basketball.
The Republican Party has chosen a fucking B-List Twitter troll as their candidate for President. Something has seriously gone wrong with our country.
From what I’ve read so far this guy had a lot of personal issues (some I can sympathize with) and it seems like the whole ISIS pledge thing was very last minute.
Democratic Congressman Jim Himes tweeted last night, “I will not attend one more’Moment of Silence’ on the Floor. Our silence does not honor the victims, it mocks them…The Moments of Silence in the House have become an abomination. God will ask you, ‘How did you keep my children safe’? Silence.”
The GOP can’t do silence right, and they damn well shouldn’t speak. It’s a shame that they’re so opposed to action.
Holy guacamole! If this story is true, the Orlando massacre takes a surprising twist — and yet, at the same time, oh so not surprising after all, eh?
