Hello again painting fans.
This week I will be starting an entirely new painting. I am using the photo seen directly below. The house is in Goshen, New York, a historic town in the Hudson Valley. It is a circa 1875 Second Empire Victorian. I’ll be using my usual acrylic paints on a 6×6 inch canvas.
I started with my usual pencil grid. Utilizing the grid, I was able to sketch the house in pencil. Once I was satisfied, I used some thin paint to go over the sketch.
The current state of the painting is seen in the photo directly below.
I’ll have more progress to show you next week. See you then.
Earlier paintings in this series can be seen here.
The cafe is open.
Make mine a double. 🙂
Always glad to see a new painting started. Has made the last few months a bit more bearable. Life’s starting to regain a little normalcy, although the periodic visits to various specialists and whatnot are likely to continue for a while to come. That’s the facet of aging that really sucks.
Your relative is lucky to have you.
Hiya Boran and DD,
Nice start on the painting. I was thinking the other day that I’ve seen a lot of your paintings. I got to wondering where to keep all of these things? It would seem like you need a gallery for all of them. 🙂
DD, on the doctors and getting older I can understand completely.
