That’s not the video that will go viral this week.
After sort of dismissing the written reports, Billmon:
Fucking hell. There’s video. And it’s a awful.
Almost more disturbing is how HRC’s security detailed moved into place to prevent others from seeing but this emergency exceeded their ability to completely shield her.
It was really hot and frankly she’s an old lady (retirement age). That can mean nothing or it can mean she is physically weaker or that she has an undiscovered/hidden issue. I think the campaign’s best move is to have some checkups with highly-credentialed prestigious medical personnel and release it including the numbers.
No, it wasn’t “really hot.” And Bernie who is almost six years older than HRC and carried on a campaign schedule at least three times more physically and cognitively rigorous than HRC’s or Trump’s schedule for over a year and never had even one questionable moment about his health.
Nothing will be released. Everybody can make up his/her own mind on this issue.
So yes; a big cold front roared into the East Coast today; dropped the humidity from soupy to arid faster than you can say “wind gusts up to 50 MPH”.
on September 11, 2016 at 9:18 pm
We all like her well enough, janicket. It wasn’t Kuala Lampur (and if it was, why weren’t they prepared for it?). She needs to say her robotic controls went on the fritz for a moment because shit happens and less than an hour later her program was running better as evidenced by the fact that she could greet a little girl on the street while waiting in front of Chelsea’s place for her fully armored vehicle to whisk her away. Anything less won’t capture the attention needed to distract from what appears to us mere mortals as a woman that had a kind of seizure, unable to navigate four steps into the van. Ob la di, ob la da…
well, we’re discussing it on Oui’s diary, so as not to detract from the beauty of the Pacific Ocean. imo it is very serious. it was discussed here in the way way back.
on September 11, 2016 at 8:49 pm
If it was serious, shouldn’t it have been reported here, on BooMan’s diary? I’m so old I think serious stuff should be discussed up front. Out in the open. I had no idea she was so sick.
wow; appears she can not initiate leg motion. v.bad. cough could be same type of problem, not Parkinsons though, I’ll bet real money. ok flame me everyone
the video is pretty bad – dehydration did not come to mind, I would expect dizziness, falling down or something. but I’ll avail myself of the google now and check
Good grief, man, have you ever experienced severe dehydration? I have, and that would exactly explain that collapse. When your volume is sufficiently depleted by dehydration, it’s lights out.
People who pass out don’t sink gracefully into a swoon; more like a puppet’s strings are cut, your legs buckle, and wham, down you drop in an ungainly heap. That’s how I acquired the scar on the bridge of my nose, since I didn’t happen to have anyone around to catch me and support me to safety, which is precisely what happened to Hillary.
Further to the point: Clinton’s rapid recovery — an hour later she’s bright and healthy-looking. No doubt they got an IV into her and pushed a bolus of saline to get her volume back up — and shazaam! Back to normal.
Been there, done that, got the scar to show for it.
Just like there has to be some truth to the countless accusations made against Clinton over the past 25+ years, there must be some truth to the countless accusations of Clinton being near-death over the past 8 years.
In all actuality, I have no idea if Clinton’s hypothyroidism, allergies, and pneumonia are all affecting Clinton’s overall health, but since I’m not Bill Frist, I won’t be doing any tele-diagnosing of Clinton and whether she is on death’s door.
Clinton’s inability to produce male genitals drives some people here insane with hatred.

The greater fear is that it’s psychological, not physical. It’d be good to see a video that showed her face while she was “fainting,” but I expect that angle will be hard to get (expect it will appear eventually, later this month or by mid October). So odd how we pick presidents. Two guys / gals. Last one standing. I suppose that’s better than the alternative, but right now I’m pulling for the one that fell down this morning.
Got this from Daily Kos
Hillary Clinton literally does not sweat.
This medical condition, the reduction or absence of sweat, is a not uncommon medical condition called hypohidrosis.
Hypohidrosis is diminished sweating in response to appropriate stimuli. While hyperhidrosis is a socially troubling but benign condition, hypohidrosis can lead to hyperthermia, heat exhaustion, heat stroke and potentially death.[1] An extreme case of hypohydrosis in which there is a complete absence of sweating and the skin is dry is termed anhidrosis.
And the cough she’s had for a while could be related/caused by pneumonia, too.
So Clinton’s been campaigning, giving speeches, and otherwise carrying out the grueling rituals of a presidential campaign while battling walking pneumonia — and Trump, his flacks, and even some on the left have been flogging the “She’s sick, got no stamina!” argument against her? Yeh, right — she is one tough cookie.
So: Pre-syncope symptoms cause her to leave early; near-syncope causes the buckling caught on video; “the vast majority of sycope is benign.” “Benign” means “don’t worry; not a problem.”
That bad? Really? Oy. (Have not seen video nor rushing to see it just today. Tomorrow I expect to hear Trump use the expression “poor old girl….” Be interesting to see where that goes.)
Well, at least one person apparently cares enough to rush into Boo’s post of a beautiful video celebrating a wonderful conservation moment and wrench the topic to yet another Hillary bash.
She was propped up there by Huma Abedin (I assume from earlier reports) stiff as a board. As she tried to move forward, it took two other people to help hold her up and she fell three-quarters the way to the ground anyway. You know, if she’s hot and she’s about to fall down, she could speak up and say something. Even if that’s all it was, it’s not encouraging at this point in the race. But the video looks like she’s not in control…on 911. WTF?
Didn’t they put out something innocuous about JFK, while it was really Addison’s disease?
on September 11, 2016 at 9:24 pm
Those were the days. And you know what? Fuck ’em. We’re going to elect her anyway because, you know what, fuck ’em.

I’ve seen it from two angles now and one of them looks suspicious….

Anyone here going to fight back? Anyone? Bueller?
on September 11, 2016 at 9:06 pm
Ok. I’ll go first. I’m at an intellectual low so what the fuck do I care. Hillary is someone I really would have liked for about a week in college, right up until I realized I knew nothing about her nor that she cared to let me know anything about her. I worked on her campaign; I cared that she won. But she lost. And now, after all these years she’s back again asking for my vote, but she still seems lost in space somewhere, where all that matters is the struggle, the good fight, winning be damned. (Come to think, it was my female friends that convinced me of this. They didn’t know why any better, but it was the conventional thing to do, so they said to support the female candidate.)
Politicians are supposed to do something. Women don’t do much, really, in terms of leading. They clean the dishes and laundry, and follow procedures nicely, but when it comes right down to it they don’t actually lead. They spend most of their time complaining about leading. In my experience. (FWIW my best friend is a lesbian.) And I trusted them. What a mistake.
Anyone…anyone want to jump in here and call me a miscreant? I’m not actually, so good for you that you aren’t (jumping in).
So odd. It’s come to this. A potential crowning achievement of democracy in the New World comes to this. She’s sick. Physically or psychologically, she can’t make it into the van without three people to help her.
Girls. You fucked up. You picked the wrong girl. Or she had you all taken for the fools you now appear to be. And god help me what does that make me, one of the guys that believed you?
I’ll just say this: the situation has nothing to do with gender, so you might just halt that line of thinking
on September 11, 2016 at 9:49 pm
But of course this has everything to do with sexism. Women faint. Who doesn’t know this? Men rage, throw bombs, lash out, bully, beat down, throw shit, fight, kill, score, and win. Women faint.
I thought Obama might faint once. On inauguration day he looked gray, in the rotunda. I watched that day wished he would just puke right in front of all of America in the presence of the snake pit of Congress where they took a break after the inauguration. It was horrifying. Byrd had been whisked away in an ambulance (he was very old so no further explanation was wanted or provided). Ted Kennedy collapsed from a reported seizure and likewise left early. If I were him, I would have just hurled full force onto the floor of the Capitol rotunda floor. But he didn’t faint that day.
I feel terrible about Hillary. Always liked her. Dreamed she’d be president one day back in the aftermath of the impeachment. Just to say fuck ’em to the assholes back then. Now I feel like I’m watching ‘Next to Normal’ but she’s running for president at the same time.
It’s all to do with gender and sexism. Women are so abused in our culture it’s hideous. Everyone knows this now as well, so we’ll see. I’m just a gay male, so as one of the 99% of us supporting Hillary, it makes little difference in this misfortune. I’m looking at the rest of Hillary’s camp. Will they step up?
“She has pneumonia. She had to feel horrible, but she has been caring for the victims of 9/11 since that very day, and she wasn’t going to miss the memorial. Her devotion is lovely.” (Attach stories of how she fought for the first responders against the Bush Administration and poof a weakness becomes a strength. No it won’t change the minds of the haters, but nothing will.)
That’s not the video that will go viral this week.

ah your right. I’d read the heat ondex was 100+ but that was clearly wrong.
85 degrees. Hot enough, particularly when you consider the humidity.
Humidity a couple hours later was 37% (checked NWS) so no?
So yes; a big cold front roared into the East Coast today; dropped the humidity from soupy to arid faster than you can say “wind gusts up to 50 MPH”.

LOL – did you realize you gave me a 4 instead of a 1 on one of my posts? Better scuttle off to find it and change it.
I liked the “one tough cookie” description. Hard to argue with that, and going forward that way of putting it will be helpful.
Nope. 538 linked to an ABC story that listed heat index. It was 82. Thats very far from severe.
Yes, Bernie was such a stud.
Wonder why he lost?
Oh yeah, it was his mind that was really, really old.
trolling will not make the problems go away
Ok. Watched video. That was not fainting from heat. Took three people to keep her from falling. This is very, very bad.
Pneumonia story sound like cover. Hope she’s okay.
well, we’re discussing it on Oui’s diary, so as not to detract from the beauty of the Pacific Ocean. imo it is very serious. it was discussed here in the way way back.

in antiquity
Here we are, right now.
wow; appears she can not initiate leg motion. v.bad. cough could be same type of problem, not Parkinsons though, I’ll bet real money. ok flame me everyone
My suspicion is dehydration. It’s common with us geezers. And likely in the midst of a campaign.
But always interesting to see how easily politicians can be hopped on for very little unless you are over the top already.
the video is pretty bad – dehydration did not come to mind, I would expect dizziness, falling down or something. but I’ll avail myself of the google now and check

not to pass out (kind of a surprise I didn’t considering), I certainly hope that’s what the problem was and it’s all fine. let’s hope for the best.

no such compunctions!
(And, yeah, if the shoe fits some of you here in this thread, well . . . )
Clinton Derangement Syndrome is an equal-opportunity affliction.
Clinton’s inability to produce male genitals drives some people here insane with hatred.

On CNN
Hillary was diagnosed with pneumonia on Friday
And the cough she’s had for a while could be related/caused by pneumonia, too.
So Clinton’s been campaigning, giving speeches, and otherwise carrying out the grueling rituals of a presidential campaign while battling walking pneumonia — and Trump, his flacks, and even some on the left have been flogging the “She’s sick, got no stamina!” argument against her? Yeh, right — she is one tough cookie.
Clinton also has hypothyroidism (chronic cough, fatigue) and takes desiccated thyroid.
I find the Bill Frist tele-diagnosis aspect of all of this slightly amusing.
where did you hear about the thyroid? [not unusual for woman her age though] well, as someone else has said, we need the multi-page doctors report.
Heard from her doctor, over a year ago.

plus the multi page Trump doctor’s report
Well, good morning, all you Internet doctors out there! Let’s see what a couple of real physicians have to say, shall we?

What a lovely, hopeful video. Thank you for sharing it on this hard day.
that water! I too would like to see that place someday
She has pneumonia. Had they said this when she was diagnosed it would not have been a story.
Now it looks like she is hiding something, even though:
She was trapped – she had to go to the 9/11 memorial.
But you know, some advance person might have asked if she could sit.
If you are for Trump this will be an haha moment.
No one else will likely care.
Well, at least one person apparently cares enough to rush into Boo’s post of a beautiful video celebrating a wonderful conservation moment and wrench the topic to yet another Hillary bash.
it’s reflexive at this point
thanks for the info
