Subject: One of the questions directed to HRC tomorrow is from a woman with a rashHer family has lead poison and she will ask what, if anything, will Hillary do as president to help the ppl of Flint. Folks, I did a service project today. It’s so tragic. And what’s worse, some homes have not been tested and it’s important to encourage seniors to also get tested.

CNN says it is “completely uncomfortable” with hacked emails showing former contributor and interim DNC chair Donna Brazile sharing questions with the Clinton campaign before a debate and a town hall during the Democratic primary, and has accepted her resignation.

As it pertains to the CNN Debates, I never had access to questions and would never have shared them with the candidates if I did,” Brazile said in a statement.

Well, I guess CNN had a difference of opinion on that.
Your move, DNC.
Isn’t that special. As I commented in some thread days or weeks ago, Brazile will land at some other network if she wants to continue her career as a political commentator. Like many others that we’d be better off not hearing from again.
Just another scheming functionary in a dirty system. They come and they go. “Round and ’round in the DC revolving door. Then they settle into academia.
Watch.

I’m going to cling a little bit to the notion that in this instance it’s more then dirty system than Brazile not having any sense of decency because I’ve always sort of liked her. But she crossed far too many lines in this election cycle that it seems best to throw her and anvil and not a life preserver.
Throwing an anvil…violent imagery. I doubt you would care for it applied to someone for whom you have warmer feelings than Ms. Brazile.
Oh great — Joel steps in to start another meaningless argument.
I would guess that there aren’t many here that wouldn’t recognize a recent source for that imagery and approved of it. If a big time Dem operative that’s tight with the Clinton’s can use it without flack, then your outrage is fake and nothing other than looking for another fight with someone that doesn’t share your fealty to the Democratic party.
Sod off.
In ’88 she resigned after she said Bush needed to explain an extra-marital affair.
She is an operative with no principles – like most of the operatives I have met.
What she did isn’t close to what Will did.
But there is absolutely no way she can continue as DNC Chair.
The simple truth is the Clinton people for the most part regard Bernie with contempt.
As we so obviously shall see when Clinton takes office and we are treated as though we have some sort of contagious disease.
Didn’t know about her ’88 resignation. Dumb comment for a campaign official to make and she paid a price for it. She wouldn’t be on my list of people to hire for a campaign because she’s never struck me as competent. But if as you say most political operatives lack principles, she ranks with the others on that measure.
There is no rationality to my sort of liking her, and it may mean that I’ve been less objective than I strive to be wrt her and given her an undeserved pass or two. But I can also say that I’ve given people I dislike an undeserved pass or two to compensate for my bias. I’m okay with that because a modest amount of generosity on minor issues or behaviors tends not to be dangerous.
I’d say that the Clinton people regard anyone not in their camp with contempt.
I don’t have an opinion on whether she should stay or go at DNC chair (isn’t she still just the acting chair?) because if not her, it won’t be someone any better. It’s the Clinton party and I have no interest in affiliating with that party.
Because SHE IS likable.
She is a party hack – party hacks have their uses and are needed.
Oh, so I’m not alone in sort of liking her? She just has a likeability quotient? Guess it’s a relief that sometimes I’m with the crowd.
A shame she isn’t one of those better party hacks that avoids crossing a line that puts themselves in hot water.
In my experience they all cross the line.
She is actually nice in person too – which is less common among party hacks.
Bingo:
She is actually nice in person too
Genuinely nice people are likeable. However, there is a range to the personal characteristic of “nice.” (Which I’m differentiating from personable.) The more fully integrated into a person’s being, the easier it is for others to perceive at an emotional level. In part because the “niceness” is more consistently on display. It translates well on the various public stages (live, radio, video, etc.) and generally defies trashing by an opponent. Must have frustrated team Clinton that all their efforts to make Bernie unlikable didn’t stick.
This one fails on niceness
Interesting how much time/energy Podesta appears to have spent trying to keep the HRC club member in line.
certainly was the olden days
Sort of like Nixon in the spring of ’73 suddenly saying that Haldeman and Mitchell were just “one of his staffers.”
Anybody else noticed that the only time Hillary has had one of her “odd moments” has been when Huma isn’t with her?
http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Huma_Abedin#Personal_life
Quite a demotion from that to “one of my staffers”.
Marie3, you don’t have the factual goods at all, yet you toss around this despicable, spiteful, extremely personal rhetoric anyway.
You are taking very intentional actions meant to undermine the campaigns of Clinton and Congressional Democrats. It’s quite the spectacle from The Last Honest Progressive.
If you want to remain in this community while behaving this way, you’ll want to quit your self-pitying and whining when you receive the responses you earn.
Sod off.
You’ve lost your composure.
Stalkers and those spoiling for a fight have a few loose screws. In real life I avoid them and they manage to get the hint. You didn’t and don’t get the hints or even numerous direct statements to leave me alone. So, that doesn’t leave me with more than a couple of options. You can wish I will lose my composure, but you’re neither powerful nor important enough to get that much under my skin. So, once again, sod off.
You’re constantly spoiling for a fight, for heaven’s sakes. You’re as quarrelsome as anyone in this community. Get real.
My gosh, centerfielddj, you’ve elevated yourself to this site’s mega-prig. Get over the faux civility.
My record here shows I’m perfectly fine with mixing it up here; I’m far from a prig. But if people are going to dish our their particularly incendiary anti-Clinton baloney at this moment, days from election day, and then attack community members who take issue with such claptrap, it’s preposterous for them to retreat afterwards and tell other community members to spare their further responses. That’s a ridiculous expectation at any time in this community, but particularly at a time when the electoral option immediately before us is a President Trump and a Republican Congress. I find fault with these behaviors. Feel free to disagree.

The “difficult situation” being having had to step into replace the previous DNC chair after she was run out of town on a rail for just this kind of thing?
Who knew that CNN has higher ethical and professional standards than the WH and DNC?
Lewandowski?
Lewandowski gave debate questions to Trump?
Did Corey get an advance copy of questions to be asked of a candidate during a debate and forwarded it to that candidate? Don’t doubt that he would like to have been in a position to do what Donna did, and unless you have information that he did so, your comment falls into the category of false equivalence.
Haven’t the vaguest idea why CNN would hire a bottom-feeding GOP operative/lobbyist like Corey. Perhaps as Brazile would never utter a negative word about a Clinton, they wanted to balance that with one that wouldn’t say a negative word about Trump. Of those not already employed, the choices were David Duke, a guy with a swastika carved on his forehead, a christian woman that gave the producers the creeps, a sheet and hood person, and Corey. All things considered, Corey probably looked good.
Did you read the essay from Nancy T in MaWo?
DB gives the lie direct to her employers and that is just fine….
I for one am completely comfortable with her continuing on as chair of the Democratic Party.
snark.
Me too.
Truth in advertising.
She is everything the Dems are.
Jive like a motherfucker.
Just another mainstream hustler.
AG
Yep, just like DWS. She was offering debate info to the Clinton team back during the March Sanders debates, too, according to a third e-mail. Seems to have been SOP for her.
