Hello again painting fans.
This week I will be continuing with the Main Street, Cold Spring, NY painting. The photo that I’m using is seen directly below. I’ll be using my usual acrylic paints on a 5×7 inch canvas.
When last seen, the painting appeared as it does in the photo seen directly below.
Since that time I have continued to work on the painting.
I began this week’s changes with the storefront to the far left. I’ve added another layer of paint. The ledge at the top has been started. Below, the shadows at the base have been started. Toward the rear, I’ve added the last few buildings, or at least the start of same. Along the sidewalk there are now shadows as well as the tree trunk.
The current state of the painting is seen in the photo directly below.
