In a perverse and reluctant way, I actually agree with this:
Rather than try to develop a communications strategy that restricts Trump’s public comments and engagement with the media, Scaramucci is trying to help channel the populist and pugilistic instincts that propelled Trump’s candidacy.
“You can either adapt Trump into the presidency or you can adapt the presidency into Trump,” said Barry Bennett, a former Trump campaign adviser. “The latter is the only way it will ever work, and I think that’s what we’re seeing.”
There’s no sense in which Trump will ever really be a president. But it’s possible to turn the presidency into Trump.
I honestly don’t know who the fuck wants this, but, yeah, it’s the only way that it will ever work.
“I honestly don’t know who the fuck wants this … “
Trump and his acolytes and sycophants in government want it, of course — but also, the large percentage of Trump voters who voted for him on the basis of magical thinking, a sort of personality cult, and who neither know nor care what the presidency is supposed to be, bur will happily follow him wherever he goes.
I loved this bit:
tRump will keep going off message as long as he keeps tweeting. I doubt Mooch or anyone else will pry the cell phone from his stubby little fingers.
If the message is ‘Whatever Trump is saying at this very moment,’ I suspect he’ll do quite well.
“I honestly don’t know who the fuck wants this, but, yeah, it’s the only way that it will ever work.”
I bet Putin and Russia want it very badly. They all are enjoying laughing at the USA currently.Their Russian fifth colony, the GOP and Trump are wreaking mass destruction on the Federal Government and the people.
Oligarchs aiming for Aristocracy want this, obviously.
