Go to Puerto Rico, man.

WTH does that mean? And how the hell does it relate to anything about LeBron?
Yeah I guess it is a bit cryptic. I’m just concerned about PR and dismayed that we’re focusing on Trumps inanity rather than the hardship on “our” island.
That would have been a worthy diary and completely clarified that you weren’t trashing LeBron, Kap, or “the kneel.”
The available public space for discourse isn’t infinite and is surprisingly limited or narrow. People grab hold on the more simple to comprehend or what they have pre-existing bias on or easy but meaningless crap. Mostly stuff that doesn’t tax efforts to act and correct whatever it is. All of that crowds out what warrants more or an equal amount of public attention and action. But I’ve never seen where chastising others for focusing on lesser stuff or whatever is trending over more important matters does any good. In the near term, Kim’s boobs will continue to rank higher in attention getting than devastation after a natural disaster. Before landfall, Irma bested the boobs in public attention.
btw as Booman has previously stated — a single sentence is not a diary.
Ah, I see the point. Where do I find this and other commandments?
The FAQ is probably a good place to begin. Click some of the links within the FAQ and you’ll get some ideas of what is cool and not cool as far as diaries go. Single-sentence diaries – no matter how well intended – come across as “all hat, no cattle.” I don’t think there are any commandments as to diary content per se, but some things do get frowned upon. Other things – diaries that are nothing but clippings from other websites, call-out diaries, and “goodbye cruel world” diaries are typically frowned upon as well. That doesn’t seem to stop folks from indulging – and we do have a couple regulars who love to indulge. I share your frustration about the lack of US leadership in aiding one of its own territories during a time of crisis. It’s obvious the White House occupant has no interest in doing so, nor is it entirely clear that the majority leaders in the Senate and House can find their butts with both hands long enough to do some of the actual necessary legislating to make sure Puerto Rico gets the aid its people need.
