A seriously good, investigative report: The Pope’s Long Con.
…
On election night [2016], Trump swamped Clinton in Bullitt County, winning nearly three-quarters of the vote. In the 49th District race, Johnson beat Belcher [D inc] by 156 votes.
…
So, even in a Kentucky county, the rigid partisan Republicans and fools are a bare majority when the charlatan is a local political candidate. (Foreshadowed Moore’s election with two differences, better pre-election news coverage in Moore’s case and Moore narrowly lost.)
I’ll refrain from posting additional excerpts because it would take away from reading this series of articles. Go read it. Then perhaps some of us can engage in constructive conversations in the comment section here.
God took control and delivered his soul to Lucifer yesterday!
○ Rep. Dan Johnson Refuses To Resign, Denies Molestation Allegation
[End of discussion]
Whatever makes you think that I didn’t consciously choose not to include that subsequent development? For the very reason that responses like your’s aren’t constructive:
There are charlatans like this guy — generally not quite as low-rent — all over this country and many are infesting our governments. They get by because of limited to no public scrutiny and even when they get a bit of heat, they skate.
This story is an answer to all those that say, “Why didn’t she report it? Why did she wait so long to speak about it?” This young woman spoke up and reported it and the man wasn’t even a pillar of the community and still the cops couldn’t have cared less.
Much more in the story deserves attention.
Don’t get smart with me Marie3!
I read most of the investigative report before and, as I’m accustomed to do, get a broader perspective by doing proper research. Not surprisingly I came across the breaking news of his demise.
I don’t want to get sucker-punched or be blind-sided by a false diary. I don’t discuss someone’d misdeeds while his body is still warm.
This story is one of tens of thousands of rape of a young person which happens across many nations. I don’t see any functionality to cover the story after someone’s suicide. I’m out and will not comment further.
○ Rep Dan Johnson kills himself days after being accused of sexual abuse | Courier Journal |
Cook said he received a call around 6:40 p.m. Wednesday regarding a Facebook post from Johnson that read,
“The accusations from NPR are false
GOD and only GOD knows the truth.
Nothing is the way they make it out to be …
GOD LOVES ALL PEOPLE NO MATTER WHAT.”
Though police issued a ping to Johnson’s cellphone and received one back, they could not locate him, Cook said.
There is far more to the story than his sexual assault of a teenager.
And since when does death put an end to inquiries? Introducing that here, shrunk the ‘wider perspective’ to zero instead of enlarging it. As the article articulated, the sexual assault charge wasn’t the only issue that brought him to the attention of local law enforcement and local enforcement wasn’t the only agency that should have been acting against him. Do LEOs so easily dismiss charges if the alleged culprit is a minority ‘minister?’ We can only imagine how much more slack a white man with higher status and power gets. If true, how did he get NY 9/11 disability benefits? This politics from the pulpit is what has been depreciating and destroying valuable public policy for decades — and the IRS is afraid to act even in egregious situations such as this one?
If people want to vote for despicable creeps like this (and a whole lot like him currently in office), that’s there choice. But we damn well can ask that people are informed as to the creeps they’re voting for. And it would be far preferable that the creeps are only exposed for what they are by a woman or man that has to step forward and tell us of being sexually assaulted by the creep.
I am hoping a victory such as Dan Johnson’s in Kentucky was due to the “Trump effect”, since the Trump campaign brought out the worst voters in America. How someone could have voted for Don Johnson over incumbent Belcher is beyond me. Some of these people in the 49th District may not have voted for years or were new voters. However, it can’t be denied that there is a destructive force in our country and I have no idea if it will end soon; it’s been in the making for years. As elated as I am with Doug Jones’ win in Alabama, it shouldn’t have been close with such a candidate as Roy Moore. Scary times right now.
From a glass half full perspective, Johnson only won by a handful of votes in a peak election for Republicans in a very ‘red’ county when local media and the opposition was mostly AWOL.
No, candidates like Roy Moore in such states or districts usually win and by larger margins than Doug Jones’ win. Moore has been a disgrace in AL for a long time, but in the past won his statewide general election races. So, in that state, we may have seen a slight clipping of the wings of destructive forces.
It looks like the original MAGA charlatan is back. His wife announced she is running for his seat.
“The wife of a Kentucky lawmaker who killed himself after a sexual assault allegation surfaced this week defended her husband Thursday and said she will run for his seat because ‘these high-tech lynchings based on lies and half-truths can’t be allowed to win the day’.”

If Belcher challenges this woman, I think Belcher will win. IMO, Johnson’s widow should have at least waited until after the funeral. Geez!
Not too bright is she?
On the contrary, the funeral is the best place for vowing to carry the torch and avenge the dead.
I wonder if she believes it or just figures she might as well get mileage from the old bastard.
Remind you of Hillary defending Bill?
No, but the situation is different with a dead spouse.
“LOVE of MY life” was how the philandering John Edwards spoke of his wife in life and death.
