This is just about perfect and this isn’t far behind.

The 2nd and 3rd tier stories of Rep dirt have been coming out at a firehose rate.
Love the one about the AZ Rep whose 6 siblings tossed him aside and wrote support for his Dem competitor.
Great to hear that Broidy is being investigated for influence peddling.
Great that FEMA director is being investigated for his misuse of vehicles & staff.
Whelan’s tweet storm and the PR firm that helped him create it couldn’t be more Republican.
Have to wonder if these guys are trying to outdo Trump?
“Miller’s attorney denied these allegations, telling Splinter in a statement: “To be clear, there is no validity to the false accusations made in Ms. Delgado’s filing.””
What about the true accusations made in Ms.Delgado’s filing?
Seems to be more to that story
Per NBC, Ventry previously worked for CRC Public Relations, the firm that reportedly promoted a bizarre conspiracy theory that a former Kavanaugh classmate and doppleganger was behind the attempted assault on Ford. Conservative activist Ed Whelan was forced to apologize after pushing the theory on Twitter

… and (unfortunately) doesnt’ mean didly/squat for the 35-40% that gets information from Fox.
sigh.
And then there’s the [TRIGGER WARNING: please, if you’re at all triggered by incest, don’t look it up — I didn’t, but some jerk posted a vile excerpt on a blog I read, and that was enough to disgust me for hours and hours] GrOPer state rep (or senator — I forget) who was raping his daughter since age 9 (she’s an adult now). Wife wasn’t doing diddly about it. Daughter files the criminal complaint, and he quits his re-election race.
Please, consider not looking it up — it’s too …. disturbing. But lordy, these GrOPers, one could be forgiven for thinking the GrOPer party is a pansexual reincarnation of NAMBLA.

I would say again to anyone thinking of reading that article (I haven’t read it, though maybe I’ve read an excerpt — don’t know where that excerpt came from, don’t want to know): some of the reporting (the specific excerpt I read) reads like “Penthouse Incest Letters: Pedophilia edition”.
I didn’t realize what I was reading and already in the second sentence it was too disgusting. So, y’know, unless you have a really, really, really, REALLY strong stomach, just don’t read about it. The reported facts are already horrific enough.
. . . have a lot of this stuff they’ve known for some time, but are hanging onto it until it’s most strategically advantageous to put it “out there”.
Am I naive? Does that give them too much credit?
There’s a constant flow of stories like that percolate up into TPM and Rawstory. Day after day. It makes GOP political types seem like a bunch of crooks, dopes, predators, perverts and bigots from top to bottom. Is there something similar happening in the conservative media. Is there a mirror universe of Democratic scandals I’m epistemically closed off from. I know we have our occasional Weiners and Rostenkowskis, but it just doesn’t seem in any way comparable. I know something’s rotten over there in conservative-land. But is it a difference of degree or type with our team? Is this our two minutes hate? Do they have a similar two minutes hate over there?
. . . it becomes qualitative for all practical purposes.
Dems exhibit episodic failures to live up to our values, at levels consistent with being flawed humans, like all of us.
Banana Republicans exhibit systemic pursuit of their actual values (which are revealed in this pursuit). The horrors they routinely commit are not aberrations or sporadic individual failings. They’re the point. A feature, not a bug.
Glad I could help.
By right wing “standards” doesn’t this make Miller an alleged murderer?
“And it’s what leads them to conclude that several of the most widely used forms of female contraception are actually abortifacients. The classic “pill,” the so-called “morning after pill,” and some IUDs all produce similar effects. They work to prevent fertilization of an egg — and then prevent implantation in the uterine lining of any eggs that do happen to become fertilized.”
“But for pro-life activists and their Republican cheerleaders, every unimplanted blastocyst is a life possessing dignity and rights. Which means that every starving and then sloughed-off blastocyst is a death. And every death that results from human intent is a murder.”

They’re pro-life, until they aren’t. Its do as we say, not as we do.
…a shout out to all those phony “Christians” who call themselves “evangelicals” which is really nothing more than a label for their white “real American” tribalism, in support of a “Godly” president whose life and behavior informs the behavior of Miller and others ascendant in the GOP.
And given all what they showed us this week, one candidate withdrawing after his own daughter filed criminal sexual abuse charges; another whose own siblings support his democratic opponent, the misogynistic comments and “jokes” about Ford, anyone coming forward talking about supporting Trump because God ought to have the taste slapped right out of their mouths.
The “failing NY Times” and other MSM loses all credibility in light of all this when nothing can be written about any political/social issue without them STILL running to these people every chance they get to get for validation and words of wisdom.
