What are the chances that President Trump spends one ounce of energy complaining about this?

Well, this was definitely worded delicately.
Well, the same newspaper also made an explicit rape joke in an editorial praising Collins for helping move Kavanaugh’s nomination.
So, yeah, the WSJ’s word choices in their reporting and opinion pieces are pretty fucking questionable.
None. Because Trump is at least smart enough to realize he’s in civil war and anything and everything is valid now because the only thing that matters is utterly destroying the other side and then arranging the country so the other side has no rights and their ideas and organizations are criminalized.
Say what you will about him. But he does know what’s going on and he does know what the end game is going to be.
Trump isn’t playing 11D chess, the opposition is just refusing to show up for the game because they don’t want to admit what’s actually going on.
You hit the mark on this one. Republicans laugh at the idea of compromise or working with the “other”. They are in it for 100% minority control over, and subjugation of, the true majority of the country, which have been gerrymandered out of House control and are dramatically underrepresented in the Senate. Feinstein, Schumer, Lahey et al., are living in another world. Any many in the base is unwilling to admit to themselves what has happened and what the response needs to be because 1) they are too afraid and/or 2) they are maximalist pacifists who would rather permit themselves to be oppressed than fight back. And the Obamas blabber on aboutbthe “high road” as the Republicans pave over us.
Yes, when you eschew reckless calls for violence you can make some good observations.
Since Repubs broke the country yesterday, it is high time for elected Dems to start upping the ante. They are congenitally timid, but seem to be starting to recognize the water is heating up.
What they can actually do to stand in the way of the democratically illegitimate National Trumpalist bulldozer is unclear, as Repubs now “legally” control every branch. The citizenry’s only approved recourse to power is 30 days away, and the mid terms will demonstrate just how deep the rot, corruption and destruction has become.
Should that fail to deliver an actual check to the sadistic fascist Trumper, what we may ultimately see is competing calls for diametrically-opposed revolutions. In theory that should not be pretty. And one side is heavily armed while the other is not.
Well, for the timing being, the Second Amendment still applies to Democrats. I’m very much a proponent of them availing themselves of that freedom.
I’ve been trying to work out my travel calendar for the next few years, and I’m wondering if anyone
knows whether it’s 1852 or 1858?
I’ve got my rifle and two pistols, and I know how to use them.
Unfortunately, they’re all .22 caliber target guns, and I’ve never killed anything other than a paper target (and that squirrel once, but that was with my car). So damned if I know how effective I’d be on the barricades.
Except I’m not calling for violence. I’m merely pointing out that violence is where we will end up.
This cannot be solved by voting, at all. We will vote in the Democrats who will then refuse to use the power of the government to persecute their enemies, refuse to enact unconstitutional policies, and “look forward not backward”, and “when they go low we go high”.
So the rot will remain. It won’t solve a god damn fucking thing. It will temporarily slow the bleeding and it will legitimize Republican tactics. And then when they lose again things will pick up where they do.
Which is why the only way this ends is in violence. Because you cannot democracticaly defeat a foe who does not believe in democracy, norms, or play by the rules. You will lose until your back is in the wall and you realize the steaks and are willing to go farther than they are.
It’s not if it happens, it’s when it happens.
I, too, am not calling for violence, but if liberals refuse to arm themselves there will be no countervailing push against the Republicans from stripping the nation of its freedoms. Unilateral Democratic disarmament is a disaster that is happening right now and wil continue to play out. This is the human condition folks and always has been. We didn’t beat the Nazis by knitting quilts for God’s sakes…
Not calling for violence but asserting this can’t be fixed by voting.? What then?
What then?
Defeat.
2016 all over again, only worse.
November will tell the tale.
Watch.

I don’t see any way that he could make this about him, so no, he won’t mention it.
Of course, I’ve been wrong before about how readily anything can be made into an issue about Trump. It’s like the Kevin Bacon game: I’ve said, “Nuh uh, he won’t talk about X topic because he can’t make it about him,” only to be stunned by his ability to make that connection and turn himself into the victim yet again.
Complain? Hell, he’s probably having an underling get the details on how it was done so he can start using it on his own enemies.
Not his portfolio.
Jared’s in charge of the Saudis.
Spread a little fear here and even there you think?
Why should he. The donald currently has how many men in Gitmo serving life and not one public trial.
“It is difficult to get a man to understand something, when his salary depends upon his not understanding it!”

The Saudi’s have Trump and his whole family on retainer.
