It sucks to be a wolf when the Republicans are in charge.

The Republicans can’t abide competition.
It’s distressing that there were enough non-voting Dems to swing this. Would like to know more about why.
Mind you, I was immensely relieved when he pulled out re-election (with an absolute majority . . . barely . . . for the first time in 3 wins — despite Glibertarian weirdo candidate’s 11th-hr “endorsement” [while declaring he nevertheless wasn’t withdrawing] of Tester’s Banana Republican opponent; four [count ’em 4! — this time, it was personal!] Trump rallies attacking Tester while minimally acknowledging the Banana Republicans beyond endorsing Greg Giantasshole’s reporter-assaulting; and multiple campaign stops by DonnieJr and Pence — put that in your pipe ‘n smoke it, Pussy-Grabber-in-Chief! Tester’s biggest win ever!).
But he also set the (original, I think) precedent for Congress interfering in administration of the Endangered Species Act (ESA) by authoring, sponsoring, and getting passed legislation declaring wolves in MT “recovered” and ordering their de-listing, despite the procedures provided for by Congress in the ESA, as implemented by the U.S. Fish and Wildlife Service (FWS) not yet reaching that conclusion, at least not to the satisfaction of the courts when initial de-listing decisions were challenged. This was a very, very bad precedent (think Bush v. Gore), as we’re now seeing. (Wolves HAD reached the population levels set as a stated [but arbitrary, arguably unsupported scientifically] recovery goal in MT. And their populations continue fairly stable, despite the limited hunting now permitted after that Congressionally-forced de-listing. So, realistically, it was not the worst imaginable outcome. It did not plunge them back to the brink of extinction. Still a terrible precedent, though.)
This makes an excellent example of what it’s like to be a lefty/liberal living in a red or purple-leaning-red state — and the political Reality of that circumstance that the Purity-Pony Police can never seem to buy a clue about: Tester’s about as far-left as can be elected here (alas; Giantasshole won his statewide race for our only House seat against a very good Dem challenger, ferchrissakes!). He’s very good on some things. He’s awful on others, like the above (though as noted, beyond the precedent set, the consequences of that awfulness were not themselves awful). But he’s infinitely better, flaws ‘n all, than any conceivable Banana Republican who might replace him.
This is the sort of compromised political Reality that people in red places recognize is the best among available outcomes.
Idiots who enable great evil by eschewing “the lesser-of-evils” (or, more to the point, the pretty-good-but-short-of-perfect) should be condemned to live in a red state. Though some would never catch on, even then.
In fact, it sucks to be most anything when the Republiclowns are in charge.
Probably won’t pass in the senate if it is even brought up
God damned mother fuckers! Includes Democrats who supported this.
My preference is to speak in more thoughtful and refined ways, but there are times when the only words that come to mind are direct from the heart. And motherfuckers is too good for those barmy, gormless slags. There aren’t words in the English language (even slang ones in the Queen’s version) that do justice to those contemptible knob head prats!
“President Donald Trump is jumping in to offer some help, saying Saturday that he could “perform a wonderful service” by rounding up Republican votes for Pelosi’s candidacy. Trump says he genuinely likes Pelosi and looks forward to working with her, but it’s an almost unheard of proposition for the party that relied on the California Democrat as a chief villain on the campaign trail.
All you need to know about Pelosi.
. . . defy enumeration.
Trump sure saw YOU comin’, though! Concern-troll’s dupe extraordinaire.
