Hello again painting fans.
This week I will be continuing with the Assateague refuge painting. The photo that I’m using is seen directly below. I’ll be using my usual acrylic paints on a 6×6 inch canvas board.
When last seen the painting appeared as it does in the photo seen directly below.
I have now added highlights and details to the trees on the far side of the pond. Out in front I have begun the foreground foliage. I’ll have this all wrapped up next week.
The current state of the painting is seen in the photo directly below.
I’ll have more progress to show you next week. See you then.
Earlier paintings in this series can be seen here.
Open it is.
That’s a lovely landscape photograph you are working from. I hope I can get back to landscape photography at some point. Circumstances are in the way at the moment. They won’t be permanent. Before my spouse’s injury, I had been driving through more of a small mountain range to my south and getting some ideas for some photos in the process. Hoping to make that drive sometime this spring.
I hope that she is well, and that you can get back to those scenic views.
We’ll have a better idea next Doc visit. If all is healing okay, rehab can start. That’s the better case scenario. Keeping my fingers crossed for that one.
