I’m not surprised that House Intelligence Committee chairman Adam Schiff of California is hiring former members of the National Security Council to be on his investigatory staff. After all, his predecessor Devin Nunes did the same thing last September when he scooped up Derek Harvey after his dismissal by then-National Security Adviser H.R. McMaster. For the record, Chairman Schiff denies that he’s hired anyone who was currently working inside the administration, although he does not deny that some of his hires may have worked with them at some point.
What actually does surprise me, however, is that the president is so exercised about Schiff’s hiring practices that he felt compelled to tweet about them.
….The Dems and their committees are going “nuts.” The Republicans never did this to President Obama, there would be no time left to run government. I hear other committee heads will do the same thing. Even stealing people who work at White House! A continuation of Witch Hunt!

I guess Trump is worried that people with inside firsthand knowledge of his national security operation might add a little extra oomph to the inquiries into his odd and solicitous behavior toward foreign powers like Russia and Saudi Arabia. As for Schiff, he simply responded, “If the President is worried about our hiring any former administration people, maybe he should work on being a better employer.”
Again, I can see why this discomforts the president but I have a hard time understanding why he wants everyone to know that it discomforts him.
If I had to guess, he thinks it feeds the narrative that the Deep State is out to get him. In reality, it actually just makes him look guilty and scared.
Everything this POTUS does makes him look guilty and scared.
That’s because he IS guilty and scared.
.
He must be screaming at Priebus & Kelly that they didn’t get enough Non Disclosure Agreements signed while WH counsel is reminding him that they won’t hold up in court.
I wonder if Dr Ronny’s prediction that Trump had such good genes he could live to 200 will pan out when he’s eating prison food cause that’s about how many years he’s going to be looking at by the time the judicial system is done with his sorry ass.
They’re not even trying to hide their contempt for the public any more:
Trump declared to be in ‘very good health’ after annual physical
After a four-hour examination, the White House doctor said Trump is likely to remain in good health for the “duration of his presidency.”

WASHINGTON — President Donald Trump is in “very good health,” the White House physician said Friday after conducting his annual physical examination.
“While the reports and recommendations are being finalized, I am happy to announce the president of the United States is in very good health and I anticipate he will remain so for the duration of his presidency and beyond,” Dr. Sean Conley said in a statement Friday evening after the president’s exam at the Walter Reed National Military Medical Center in Bethesda, Maryland….
AND BEYOND.
I have worked in the health care field for most of my adult life. That does not sound like a claim a physician would want to make publicly about someone in the very best of health who lives an unstressful lifestyle, much less about a President under enormous pressures who is clearly obese and prone to so many unhealthy behaviors.
One must wonder what is going on, that does not sound like any conventional physician. Some sort of leverage on the doctor? What?
The memo summarizing the initial results of the physical also includes this lunacy:
“The President is very grateful for the outstanding care he received today, and he especially wants to thank all the doctors, nurses, enlisted and civilian staff who participated.”
The memo is addressed as coming from “Sean P. Conley, DO, Physician to the President”. No, Conley didn’t write that. They didn’t even care to make it appear that he wrote that.
Contempt for the public.
That language sounds like some kind of mob talk. You surely wouldn’t want to do or say anything that would make the president have to change his mind about that gratitude now, would you …
A DO is a medically licensed osteopath – Doctor of Osteopathic Medicine. There are also non-medical osteopaths. Osteopathy is an interesting and esoteric profession.
This is the same Adam Schiff Trump disparagingly referred to a while back as Adam “Schitt”. Now that he doesn’t have a republican congress acting as defense attorneys, we’re getting to see what a lying coward does when he realizes his dirt is about to be exposed.
I don’t think guilty or scared are the right words for a sociopath like this. He’s just doing what he always says he does, which is punch back as hard as he can. He’ll try some other tactic if this strike doesn’t scare off his opponents.
It’s more like dealing with a cornered old man-eating tiger. It doesn’t feel guilty or scared – it feels like eating you, too.
…dealing with a paper tiger, that thinks it is a man-eater. But it’s been living on pigeons all these years, and isn’t actually a tiger at all.
.
Or it’s eaten a few men, but they were lured in by the real man-eating tigers.
A former republican president’s motto was “Speak softly but carry a big stick”
Trump’s motto is “Speak loudly and wave your little dick.”
But he is being persecuted by the Deep State. Just ask AG.
Let’s see, what does the ol’ reliable DSM-V have to say (Diagnostic and Statistical Manual of Mental Disorders..not a Prince song.) Oh yes, Pathological Narcism Disorder.
1)Grandiosity with expectations of superior treatment from other people
2)Fixation on fantasies of power, success, intelligence, attractiveness, etc.
3)Self-perception of being unique, superior, and associated with high-status people and institutions
4)Need for continual admiration from others
5)Sense of entitlement to special treatment and to obedience from others
6)Exploitation of others to achieve personal gain
7)Unwillingness to empathize with the feelings, wishes, and needs of other people
8)Intense envy of others, and the belief that others are equally envious of them
9)Pompous and arrogant demeanor
I believe that Schiff is a triathlete. I think he should challenge Trump to a race; all our problems would be taken care of within the first 50 yards.

This lists the many Congressional investigations into the Obama Admin. Guess Trump conveniently forgot about all of them… or he never paid attention anyway.
Trump is playing from the classic Bully Playbook: He will lash out and bully anyone and everyone whom he preceives to be in his way or attacking him. But the Classic Bully ploy is to victimize themselves and whine and cry about how everyone else is bullying them.
Seen it often in the workplace. This is no different.
Of course, his rabid fans will conveniently forget the millions of times that Fox, Rush, Christiany Broadcasting, Regnary Press, and so forth attacked Obama, especially for grave indescrestions like the Latte Salute, wearing only shirt sleeves while at work in the Oval Office, and – gasp shriek – wearing a tan suit (I’m given to understand that Reagan’s suit was beige, not tan, so that’s the difference, er, besides Reagan’s skin tone).
