Hey everyone! We’ve made it to another midweek. I hope all’s well with you.
Some relaxing music seems in order. I have just the thing. This is a cover of “Avril 14”, a track that appeared on the sprawling Druqs double CD that Aphex Twin dropped in 2001.
Note that since this year, April 14th is actually on a Wednesday, I will likely recycle this video.
The jukebox is working and the bar is open. Drinks are on the house – your house that is.
Stay safe and well.
Cheers!
So this marks the anniversary of when WHO declared that there was indeed a global pandemic. At that point, I figured it was inevitable that I’d start working remotely. Sure enough, a couple days later, got the word. A couple days before, I’d been to dinner with a couple friends. I had a gut feeling that would be the last time we’d see each other for a while. Indeed, we’ve encountered each other only briefly and at a bit of a physical distance. Thankfully, it looks like we may have some light at the end of the tunnel. Not sure if we’ll see “normality” again as we once knew it. Visiting friends and family, getting to go to a memorial service for a deceased friend that has been postponed due to the pandemic, maybe enjoying a steak and beer again….some things to look forward to.
I’m going to a concert and a sporting event as soon as possible.
I have missed volleyball. So, hopefully this fall semester. We have a consistently great women’s team. Was planning on seeing Black Flag (with one of my kids) and Alanis Morissette (w/spouse) last year. None of that happened. Just getting to a microbrewery again would be great. Activities like that are definitely on the to-do list.
