Midweek Cafe and Lounge, Volume 327

Every once in a while I’ll go through my old records and feel a bit nostalgic. Blue Nile dropped their first LP around 1984. Their first video got some time in the rotation around that time. It brings back found fond memories:

They tended to take their sweet time recording new records, and then CDs. All of them had plenty of critical acclaim, if not quite the sales the record company execs might have wanted. I know something is good when I hear it. This is the good stuff.

Cheers.

  1. Thanks same to you. Far less commenting here more Boman and blog roles. I’ll check them out.

It’s been a while and what can you say. We have a heart attack about Bush and Iraq and now MAGA comes along. it’s been a wild ride. You know. Wow.

    1. I know. It has been a wild ride. There was a time when Bush and that clusterf*ck we knew as the war on terror was as bad as it could get. Trump and his fascist goons simply said, “hold my beer.” It’s been crazy ever since. In my more pessimistic moments, I feel like there’s too much “last days of Weimar” energy in the US. Wow, indeed. Don’t be a stranger. There are so many of you from back in the day whom I miss tremendously. It’s easy to take for granted good people and good times until they’re gone.
