   Beautiful day here in LA, if HOT!! Heading to the beach soon.

   Loved this story – about the strike in which Walter Cronkite walked away from his nightly anchor position and a middle manager had to take his place. Great little story. And a reminder of the shoes Katie Couric has to fill. I hope she’d have the gumption to join a union walkout too, if the need arose.

   Just a random comment.

   The more the Dem leadership asks for the removal of Rumsfeld the more BushCo will refuse to get rid of him.

   The Dem party whiz-kids are snatching defeat from the jaws of victory on this issue again.

   And who’s brilliant idea was it for these leadership Dems to write this letter to Bush? It sounds like another aggressively dysfunctional strategy from the battalion of failed strategists and consultants who’ve been helping the Dems lose elections for the last 12 years.

   I fell across it while searching articles regarding my son KIA Gowardesh, Afghanistan, 6/21/06.
   My son’s name is SSG Patrick L. Lybert. He was serving with the 1 3-71 Cav, 10th Mountain Division.
   I am not that skilled with the computer.
   I am desperately seeking specific news regarding what actually happened during the conflict he was killed in.
   Do you have anything specific submitted regarding that? If so could you e-mail it to me.
   I was told one version by 3 military upper command. And, then I was told another version through “the grapevine”.
   I am devastated.
   Feel I need the truth.
   If you have some info, truthful, valid only. Please relay it to me.

   I sent the following to the ABC address listed below.  ABC has a 500 character limit so it took two mailings.

   I faithfully watch the ABC Evening News w/ Mr. Gibson plus the Weekend news.  I am ending my long association w/ ABC News b/c of the fake-u-drama “The Path to 9/11” due to air on Sep 10/11.

   As far as I’m concerned, when the State Dept in April 2001 takes bin Laden off the terrorist watch list the resultant disaster falls on Mr. Bush’s shoulders.

   In parallel w/ the last para, is the fact that only Limbaugh and other neo-con fifth columnists got to initially review the film to get positive buzz is an attempt to influence the Nov midterm elections in favor of the cabal currently in power.

   I intend to write all major advertisers on all ABC shows I can see, telling them of what I call “despicable conduct” on ABC’s part.
