But probably a bird in it somewhere. Just camera shy.
I’m getting ready for bed, and another day of plumbing Imogen’s brother’s house tomorrow. I’ve got half the bath/laundry done, and should be able to finish it in a day. Then it’s on to the kitchen, and the water tank, and the evaporation beds, hot water heater, etc.
Hi FM. That’s a male Superb Fairy Wren. They’re just now suiting up in their spring finery. In a few week we should be seeing little balls of bright blue feathers rolling about as the males take competion for mates a bit too literally.
Superb Fairy Wrens have the distinction as the world’s most promiscuous birds (bot males and females cheat on their mates – lots).
Been up since about 3:30; got woke up with some major heartburn 🙁 — not sure of the cause. Took a couple of antacids, but found that I felt better if I didn’t lay back down, so decided to veg on the couch for a bit. Doing okay, other than lack of sleep…
Watched an interesting movie from my current Netflix stash: The Secret of Roan Inish. Nice little flick, once I activated the subtitles; had a bit of trouble with the Irish accents. Still got The Brothers Grimm and Slap Shot to view; Slap Shot will wait till the spouse and I can watch it together.
Need to do some research — want to crochet one or two afghans for our church’s annual auction (in November), but need to decide what pattern to use…back later today (after catching a nap)…
Hey all, slow morning so far, and that sound fabulous. Cybermancy is done and will go to my editor tomorrow. MY grnadmother’s been moved from CCU to a regular room and probably gets to come home either today or tomorrow. And I’m sitting on the porch with Dr.Mc quietly enjoying my morning caffeine and the sunshine that’s finally drying out the outdoor carpet.
Today’s tea: Red Flower Jasmine, a lovely green, and how cool is this? “Individual green tea leaves wrapped and gently tied together, entirely by hand.”
Good to hear that your grandmother is doing better-that must have been a frightening experience.
Hooray for tea! Jasmine is especially tasty and fragrant. I quit caffeine altogether for a while but found that I think a bit better with a spot of tea. Planted some tea camellias in the backyard two years ago and now have a small jar of dried leaves-it doesn’t get any more local than this! Maybe I’ll save it for a meetup with DamnitJanet or other BM northwesterners…
There’s an Australian Scarlet Robbin just outside my window, with his lolly-pop shirtfront brightly lit by the rising sun.
The weather is just starting to ease into Spring. Unfortunately, we’ve had almost no real rain this Winter, so it will be a hard year for the flora and fauna, unless Spring is wetter than usual.
Oh, I forgot to mention, I saw my first White Goshawk (Accipiter novaehollandiae) this weekend. Striking bird.
Morning Andi. Nice Tree.
It’s almost bed-time, so I’ll avoid the simulants if you don’t mind.
How’s tricks?
a little fat bird in it.
I’m doing okay. How’s by you?

I hope to have it done in a week or so.
See ya keres. I think I’m head out myself.
Don’t over do it.
Hmmm, all that plumbing seems to deserve some nice welding equipment as a reward …
You’d think. 😉
Night all.
Good morning Andi and keres.
Nice tree Andi and nice tree and bird keres.

Sound like you could have a soap opera going there. 🙂

Hope you feel well enough to drop by later.
Sorry to hear you’ve been feeling poorly.
Morning Andi, FamilyMan, & Keres!!!
Sorry to hear you are not feeling well FamilyMan!!!
How’s your back today?
Moring Andi!!! A little stiff but getting much better. Thank you for asking.
Back pain is pretty miserable stuff. I’ve mostly managed to avoid it, but the one or two times I strained or pulled something, oi!
Thank you. Bad backs run in my family. I am the only person in my immediate family not to have back surgery.

Another grey morning in the Berkshires.

Would be happy to, RF.
It’s not too bad though, we have indoor work to do today.
