I guess Afghanistan has even weaker opposition parties than the United States.

The op-ed article by Sen. Olympia Snowe linked to here
is kind of ironic, the author is much more qualified to be Vice President of the United States than either Gov Palin or Rep. Ferraro. She also seems to be capable of more adroit national political competition than Sec, Clinton was. Wouldn’t it be nice to see a Claire McCaskill or Amy Klobuchar on a national ticket someday?
