Hey, who do Messrs Lessig and Trippi think they are, sticking their noses into the sacrosanct business of raising campaign funds? Do they actually think that the millions the Health Insurance lobby has contributed to Senator Nelson have gained for it access and influence with the Nebraska legislator? Don’t they realize that the voters of the corn husker state are impressed with all the good things Senator Nelson has done for them. And, who needs, anyway, that crazy option for public health insurance? Certainly, not the good voters of Nebraska.
I’ll believe it when Nelson actually votes for it. Not before.
Did you see Adam Green’s comment(he’s the spokesperson for the Trippi/Lessig group)? He basically challened Nelson to prove he’s not in the pocket of big business
Obama won the Omaha electoral vote and came close to winning Lincoln district without having a campaign office in the state’s main college city. 3rd district in Western Nebraska is too deep red and the large margin makes it very difficult for Dem Prez to win the whole state but the main population centers in Nebraska(Omaha&Lincoln) are 2 cities that Obama will win or come close to winning in 2012. Plus, painting those 2 cities blue is key for the future Dems in Nebraska because rural Nebraska continues to bleed population.
Nelson acts like his state is in the Southern bible belt.
The rest of the Nebraska Congressional delegation is arguably the worst in the country. Its full of lazy back benchers that are owned by big Agbiznass, student loan company Nelnet, and First National bank.
Senator Johanns is already scared of Supermax prisoners in Colorado.
I love to see Benator on the run and I thought he would back up Obama a little more since he endorsed him pretty early in the primary process.
