Rest in peace, Bernie Mac. You died too muthafuckin’ young.

I’m really sad about this. Bernie Mac was brilliant. I can’t recall seeing him in anything that didn’t leave me laughing, from his tv show to the Ocean’s movies to the standup.
Truly sad.
he wasn’t always politically correct but he was always funny. I really liked the Bernie Mac Show. It was cute, unlike his routine on the same subject.
Meh, the less politically correct, the funnier the comedian is to me. Bernie Mac, Bill Maher, George Carlin, etc.
and my dad loved the Bernie Mac Show — I still think the show was brilliant and, like so many other Fox shows, canceled too early.
Fifty is much too young to die.
It makes me think about the too early death of Robin Harris, a comedian that Mac also emulated.
Even the octogenarian and still kicking Carl Reiner was quoted as being in shock, thinking that he had gotten over his illness.
I really liked The Kings of Comedy. (No I don’t have The Queens…. I liked it because it reminded me of guys like Red Foxx, Richard Pryor, and Rudy Ray Moore. Black comedians who always appealed to working-class black folks. Which is just about all what you saw in the audience on the DVD of The Kings of Comedy.
Yes on Harris!! Another great loss. Where is George Wallace these days?
Wow! I just got the kids down and decided to check out what Boo has to say. It has been a hectic and fun day celebrating my daughter’s 6th year on this planet. This makes me sad, though. I love quality comedy that is both goofy and clever. BMac was an amazing comedic artist. I hope he is laughing all the way to otherwhere…Thanks for raising the happy neurotransmitter levels in many! Peace out!
You don’t understand!
