Harry Reid’s spokesman Jim Manley dropped a bomb on Rep. Heath Shuler (D-NC). Too funny.

Go Stormy, get rid of diaper boy.
I don’t know, it looks to me like a cheap and irrelevant shot. I certainly see no evidence of wit — which requires cleverness, originality — in it.
I’m as far from being a Shuler fan or supporter as one can be. I still have to ask — perhaps for that reason — How is this comment funny?
Harry Reid’s people telling Shuler to go Cheney himself? That, in and of itself, is funny.
Heckuva job, Timmy. You done fucked everything up now:

President Obama transformed into Professor Obama before our eyes, segueing from reading his remarks from the teleprompter to answering questions from the press. Professor Obama proceeded to take over the question and answer session with a fifty minute performance. At times, it seemed like he was teaching freshman seminar classes in economics and political science.

is blowing my mind this morning. No wonder the Congresscritters threw money at Paulson back in the Fall. My first reaction was: Did this really happen? We know how Bushco favored the “shock and awe” approach to getting whatever they wanted. My second reaction was: Did China do this? Was it a concerted attack? Or insider knowledge among the 1400 people who Rule the World?
Then, considering that Lehman Bros. bellied up about three days previously, I could visualize a million or so people spontaneously and independantly deciding to cash in their 401Ks and/or calling their portfolio managers/stockbrokers to scream, “Get out now! Sell!” Wow!
Shuler is a dbag but kind of a silly low blow considering the whole Reid Loserman and Roland Burris mishandling from a PR perspective.
He was also thousands of times better at quarterbacking than anyone else in Congress.
Just sayin’.
Does one impact the other?
I doubt it.
I mean…Abe Lincoln never even played high school ball!!!
This Manley thing is a lame response, actually.
Which figures.
Reid is a lame majority leader. Why would one expect his gofers be any different?
Saaaay…I’VE got an idea!!!
Reid and Shuler in the ring. Or better yet, a passing contest. (Unless it’s gas passing, Shuler would win. Big time. Or…come to think of it, windbags that they both are it might actually be a tie. Ditto a pissing contest.)
Whatever…winner takes all.
What bullshit.
