It’s not my job to tell the American people what to think. My job is to listen to the American people. Having said that, the state of Ohio has said that John Boehner was born there. That’s good enough for me. Boehner says he doesn’t spray-tan. I accept him at his word.
I believe that the Speaker is a citizen. I believe the Speaker doesn’t spray-tan. I’ll take him at his word. Listen, the American people have the right to think what they want to think. I can’t — it’s not my job to tell them.
On the other hand, I’m pretty sure Boehner is in the habit of shagging lobbyists and passing out Tobacco PAC money on the House floor during votes.
I’m positive the shagging story is true. A friend of mine attended a high school reunion where one of his old classmates, now a blue-haired Republican society matron, recounted with horror a story of her daughter becoming an intern on Capitol Hill a couple of years ago. The kid went to her first lobbyist reception or whatever it was and Boehner was there. Once introduced to her he propositioned her on the spot, and rather crudely. She laughed it off, but her mother was appalled.
enjoyed this bitchslap.
