Seriously, it’s not supposed to be this dead until August. I mean, I am not going to write about some dude who thinks Oprah Winfrey is the anti-Christ, even if he’s tight with Governor Rick Perry of Texas. I’m not going to write about T-Paw’s incredible disappearing campaign. I’m not going to write about Michele Bachmann’s sex appeal. Rupert Murdoch bores me to tears. And what more is there to say about the debt limit until we know what the hell is in the bill?
Well, there’s the death of Betty Ford, reminding us that there was still one living Republican worthy of some respect. We could discuss whether she was, as it seems it me, the last of that species.
