   I’ve been busy for a few days while the pond has been hoppin’.  I’ll have something to say on the issue at hand soon, but in the meantime, HUGS to all the beautiful women that have graced the pond with their stories and their thoughts.

   I think I’ll go check to see if the newspaper has arrived and make a fresh pot ‘o joe…

     Similar situation for me.  Because of time difference and work schedule on this assignment it was only this morning that I had opportunity to skim a few of the entries.
     Painful to read and I am thoroughly impressed by the contributors who have put it all out here.
     Wrapping up my mission this afternoon, so cannot really participate.  Thank you to those who shared so bravely.

     From this morning’s paper here in Jackson, MS.

     ‘Yankee do-gooders’ descending on state

     Forty years ago – back in the mid-1960s, you’ll recall – some Mississippians derisively called them “Yankee do-gooders.”

     Now they are coming at us again in waves, and we’re embracing them, thank goodness.

     What a difference a few decades can make.

     …

     They didn’t just start the trek south in recent days, either. From almost the moment Katrina slammed in and laid us out, these groups from afar have come to our aid by the tens of thousands.

     Based on the wretched portions of our state’s history, and they are countless, some of our Northern friends might say, “let Mississippi fend for itself.”

     Instead, most are simply saying, “Move over.”

     It’s amazing how good people can be.

   Caught the vicious office head cold…awake here for a few minutes until the next Nyquil dose kicks in.

   Cat and Hubby still asleep…me too soon I hope or it’s off to the late night bad movies.

       I’m doomed! Just checked the site and that pic is the 8th winningest picture! Almost all of the kitten pics I have have been googled.

       My cat is 15 years old…and a grump usually!

       I finally woke up after another 5 1/2 hours of sleep…looks like I’m going to miss most of the weekend at this rate. Yuck…

   Good Morning to my fellow liberals.  I hope everyopne has a fabulous Saturday.  I woke up way to early did a design that had come to mind and went back to bed. LOL  Now I am up and sort kind of maybe raring to go. LOL  I will be working on designs and doing housework today.
