Very soft and squishy under the feet – a vast improvement over the scratchy old home depot berber. The dogs and boys are laying all over it. Did you see it yet?
How are you feeling these days? I never got to the kansas city area in October to visit my cousin like I planned. But when I do, I’m going to look you up!
I’m sure I still have your info. I wouldn’t be there during the week, it would be a weekend. I suspect it won’t be until after the new year though. Thanksgiving will come right after I recover from the election. And December is always difficult
After the first is best for me. I’m in the middle of redesigning our library website — over 1200 pages. I’ve got a committee of almost 20 people looking at adult, teen and kids pages and also putting a lot of the content in a database, so some of them are working with me to catalog our images and links.
I’ve had 6 meetings a week for weeks. But, the last one will be Jan 8th. I figure that whatever we’ve got on that date, that’s the site we’re stuck with.
Does that sound mean?
So, I’d say, I’ll probably be alive again around the end of January. I hope.
I’m pretty much an anti-meeting person, but there’s no way one person can do this alone. So, we’re all gritting our teeth and doing it. This week I had each of the groups list each goal. Then we set work-meetings for each one. It seems like we can get this thing done. And I sure hope it’s approved when we finish. Or there will be a lot of disappointed people.
Good news on the medical front — spouse has lost 7 pounds to go along with my 15. π BP still a bit high, so he’s going back in two weeks (I told him that we should leave earlier so he’s not stressing about getting there in time).
Settling in for the evening to watch “Countdown” on the DVR — tomorrow need to do laundry and other stuff before we head for the Sharks/Penguins game. Sharks are having a Thanksgiving food drive tomorrow and Tuesday, so we need to remember to bring some non-perishable foodstuffs.
Hope everyone has a productive day campaigning tomorrow…
Fresh tables and another round for everyone…
well, for the crickets anyway. :::chirp:::
I’m back. How’s the rug?
Very soft and squishy under the feet – a vast improvement over the scratchy old home depot berber. The dogs and boys are laying all over it. Did you see it yet?
Where were you?
is there a picture?
It looks like the other one, only twice the size. I’d go take a picture, but it’s cold out there.
Ah! Comforter blogging?
Yep, and I’m watching Chevy Chase play an antisemite on law and order.
How was your evening?
good. my cats were ecstatic to see me.
I bet. No more kidney/bladder problems, I hope?
nope.
also, everything is working on my laptop now except the keyboard. I did a system restore, didn’t help.
But, that’s progress over the last few days. It’s doing a windows update now and then I will do a defrag and other maintenence.
They’ll break it in for you in no time.
I was reading a book and watching TV and reading blogs all at the same time. π
And I called a couple of friends.
There was a mass exodus in the old cafe when I said I wasn’t going out tonight. I’m trying not to take it personally.
Yeah, I’m afraid they’ll break it in a little too well…
What book?
The Inheritance of Loss by Kiran Desai.
That sounds interesting. Did you read Hullabalooo in the Guava Orchard?
No, should I? If I like this one I probably will.
I haven’t read either of them, but they mentioned it in the review on amazon.
Let me know how you like it.
and Irish Kiss make it up to you?
Mmmm….that sounds like it might go well with comforter blogging.
it was cold here…I’m sitting on my couch in shorts and a t-shirt with the sliding door open to my patio.
It’s pretty chilly here. Extra blankets on the bed chilly. But then, I’m a sissy about being cold.
well, it’s gonna have to do for now π
I suppose it will do.
Those McCaskill Ads are Kick-ass, aren’t they? I’ve never seen anything like them.
I like the veterans ads she’s running.
Have you ever used the phrase “kick ass” before? It seems so un-katiebird like. π
I think it’s the drambuie.
Ah, well — I think it’s the political katiebird, not the hippie katiebird.
And maybe the Drambuie too.
Kick-ass. I like it.
How are you feeling these days? I never got to the kansas city area in October to visit my cousin like I planned. But when I do, I’m going to look you up!
Do you still have my email address? I think I’ve got yours. Just let me know. I’d love to see you!
I’m mostly a weekend person, though. I tend to go to couch during the week.
And how are you?
I’m sure I still have your info. I wouldn’t be there during the week, it would be a weekend. I suspect it won’t be until after the new year though. Thanksgiving will come right after I recover from the election. And December is always difficult
I’m fine. Same as ever.

No, that doesn’t sound mean. It sounds practical.
And 6 meetings a week sounds …. like it would get old after the first week. Good luck!

Why would it not be approved? Who has to approve it?
Ah, that would be my boss. (anything beyond this should go to email)
well, I’m sure your work will be so great that your boss will … grudgingly approve it π
I’m going to bed. Nice to visit with you KB!
Goodnight!!
I’d like a bit of Drambuie, I think.
Now that’s sweet!
Thanks Manny!!
Well, since ManEe alredy got it for you, I’ll just say hi.
Hi CabinGirl — I’m so pleased that I got to see the photos of your new rug. That was one of the highlights of my week!
cuz I’ll probably be posting pictures when I’m couch hunting too. π
OO, That’ll be fun!
Hi KB. I hope you’re sending me nice weather for the weekend.
Oh, Sure Mary — Of course. You’ve got it. Absolutely.
Good news on the medical front — spouse has lost 7 pounds to go along with my 15. π BP still a bit high, so he’s going back in two weeks (I told him that we should leave earlier so he’s not stressing about getting there in time).

what’s up?
About to read some accounting, then go to sleep. Very long day ahead in PA-08 tomorrow.
I’ll think of you while I’m having my long day in Missouri tomorrow.
And Sunday.
And Monday night (after a full day’s work).
And Tuesday. of course.
I wish I could do some volunteer work on those days, but tomorrow’s going to be my last hurrah before Election Day due to damn school.
Best of luck out in MO.
After the week I had I’d take damn school over damn job any day. Don’t complain about it. Enjoy it.
It’s all downhill after you graduate as far as having any real time.
Have a good day tomorrow.
yep..
