How are you this morning?
I decided to pop in and stalk you. 😉
you have good taste in stalkees
I had the pleasure of meeting CabinGirl at a Baltimore meet-up and at YearlyKos. There is some dispute over who is the stalker and who is the stalkee. 😉
mutual stalking = friendship?
Hi! How’ve you been? I see you have a diary for me to read and recommend… 🙂
Things are going well here. Attending four soccer games a week these days and judging by the temperature this morning, it’ll be time to break out my blanket tonight.
I am groovin’ on the cool temps — it’s 47.
It’s chilly here too…but I won’t be around to enjoy it, since I have to go to NYC for work today. I guess I’ll get a taste on the walk from the car to the train in a bit, though.
I’d say that I’ll think of you on my walk this morning but since I tend to zone out, it’s doubtful I will. Hope your trip and meeting are go smoothly.
I’m back, everything went smoothly except for the traffic (thanks, UN) and it is freezing cold here tonight.
and no thanks to me — because I didn’t think about you at all on the walk (shoot, why didn’t I lie; it isn’t like you could prove it).
Good Morning Andi & Cabin Girl!!!! Hope you are having a great week so far.
Per Miss Andi’s orders I am posting asking for donations for the AIDS WALK!!!
You can click on the design to go to my donations page.
It’s been nice so far; I can hardly believe it’s Wednesday already!
How about you?
Been a hectic week but that is too be expected. LOL
Morning refinish. Week’s been okay. Hope yours has been fine.
Good Wednesday morning to those of you who are just getting to it. It’s well past sundown here, and in a few minutes I’ll be going out to check the newly installed electric fence, and startle the wallabies.
Last year the hoppies got our veggie garden. And while we like having them around, we’d like them to eat the native grasses and browse and for us to eat our own veggies – hence the electric fence we built over the weekend. This morning I put it on a timer, so that it will run from dusk til dawn, and I need to check that it’s working. And no, I won’t check it by touching it, I’ll just check the charger for a fault signal.
The weather calmed down mid-day so Luna and I took advantage of the calm and went for a very long walk. Now it’s back to howling winds, though no ran at the moment. They dont’t call the winds around Tasmania the Roaring 40’s for nothing.
Are the winds like the trades they get in Hawaii? The Big Island is the windiest place I’ve ever been — those little pieces of lava really hurt when they pelt you at 30-40 mph.
I’ve never been to Hawai’i, but I suspect that they are similar. Although we are blessedly free of pelting lava.
The only other land mass this far south is the tip of South America (South Africa’s Cape of Good Hope is north of us). So the winds that hit Tasmania haven’t been slowed down by land for a very, very long while.
Good morning everyone. Hope hump day is starting good for you.
just heading out for our morning jaunt. see ya later
See ya.
Hi there FM … Good to see you!
Morning Olivia. I just came from your place and saw the orange delight. 🙂
An eye opener for sure.
Gotta run. FMom is calling.
See ya later.
Hope you and FMom are feeling better!
Catch ya later.
Tea today: Organic Darjeeling awaiting my awakening. Yay. Still trying to wake up though and get some writing done. It’s been a rough week and I haven’t had the time for it until today. And even today I’ve got to take a cat to the vet. She’s got an autoimmune disorder and needs steroids. Probably pills this time instead of a shot. Bleah. Hope everyone is surviving and in for a better day than they expect.
Good morning KMc! Just snuck in from mowing lawns to see who’s up. Sorry to hear about your rough week-hope you do find time to write today. A trip to the vet isn’t usually much fun for any of the parties involved, is it?. What causes autoimmune disorders in cats? My siter’s cat had it too, mostly mouth sores and diarrhea. Oddly enough my sis has some sort of AI too that’s also mostly manifested by mouth sores.
Not sure about the cause, probably similar to the (also largely unexplained) causes for humans. Our cat has mouth sores as well this time, though more often it’s a swollen paw. Unfortunately she’s also the most vet resisitant of our five. It’s going to be a giant wrestling match with claws. Sigh. Just finally awake enough now to string coherent sentences together. So, going off to do that now. Have a good day with the lawns.
I’ve hit on the secret of a well-behaved dog. Wear her out at the dog park.
That does it. I’m taking a nap NOW!
Only if you’ve been running around with a pack of dogs for the past hour. Oh, what the heck, you don’t need a reason to nap. 🙂
You sound exactly like FM … 🙂
Now I’m a quotable person? Wisdom does flow out to everyone. 🙂
you’re famous!
Hi…:)
Hi, how’s the day going so far?
I’m packing up now, ready to flee the cube. How ’bout yours?
Fleeing the cube so early? 🙂
My day has been fair so far. No new upheavals or disruptions going on.
I was in a little earlier this am …
I’m glad you’re maintaining a steady course there. No new upheavals or disruptions is good.
Well, I guess I’ll see you later. I’m off now!
See ya later.
what’s for dinner?
not sure … it might take me a few hours to figure it out 😉
I’ll just go ahead and have what we already made.
what are you having?
tilapia, dredged in corn meal and pan fried in olive oil
Tilapia sounds way too healthy, but you minimized it with dredged and fried in the same sentence. Good going.
(and open-mouthed) — I like fish even if it is healthy.
I’m glad I’m feeling like getting back on schedule because looking at the conversations here the last three days — I wasn’t missing much not being here 🙂
Dinner?
you leave and the whole place falls apart … 🙂
That sounds like something of an insult. 🙂
I got your postcard!
that was fast! Last time I was in Italy I mailed my mother a postcard from Volterra and she didn’t get it for 6 weeks.
But … this time I actually went into the post office in Perugia and handed them to someone. It was right before lunch and when I tried to leave they hade locked the big grill on the front door — I thought I was going to have to spend siesta in la posta! But a nice guarda let me out 🙂
Now I’ll just have to wait and see if my standing in the eyes of the postman has improved since he knows I have world traveling friends.
Maybe you should have Olivia mail you a postcard from Ottawa? 🙂
And Manny could go across the border and mail you a postcard from Mexico. 🙂
Izzy isn’t here today either
Hope all denizens (both two-legged and four-legged varieties) will do better soon…
Had a bit of a surprise last night — my doctor actually called me at home! I’d been dilly-dallying about going back in after my recent blood work, since my glucose level was slightly high (Slightly? The stock market should have it so good…), so she’s starting me on a low dose medication to try and get it back to terra firma. (And I’m going to be a good spud and get my butt back into the doctor’s office in a couple of weeks…)
Got to get in the shower — heading out to finally see if I can get the damn financial crap done…
