Cape May isn’t elitist when you come in from the maritime side. Came in there one night from the ocean on a commercial fishing boat and was lucky to shoot the inlet without grounding on the rocks! In offshore, dead of winter working duds we had the best dinner and drinks at one of the warmest and most friendly little dives I’ve ever been in :o)

it’s tropical. The waves are too big. It has indigenous people. It’s a long flight. It’s an expensive flight. People eat weird food. Most Americans can’t afford to and never have visited Hawaii. The people have accents. It’s too nice.
It’s not all THAT expensive. I have managed to get there very cheaply several times. If you get there cheaply is it less elitist to go there?

I was going to suggest a road trip instead, but then he’d probably be caught at a gas station buying Super instead of Regular. You know how those elitists are.

Regarding Edwards: Well, shit. So sue me, but even though I didn’t buy his stated political evolution, I wanted to believe that he and Elizabeth’s love story was a real one, I really did. But that’s on a personal level.
