It is Cabin Boy the Younger’s 15th Birthday today and I have been busy making Horseradish Potato Salad, Martha Stewart’s Mac & Cheese, and Ultimate Cheater Pulled Pork with a homemade Midwestern BBQ Sauce. Should be a tasty celebration.
Thank you to everyone who made a contribution this month. You people are so generous. I will be out for much of the evening. If you like the site and haven’t made a contribution, please consider lending some support to our efforts here. Thank you so much.
Got any good recipes to share?
No recipe here but I do have a comment. Just watched the second half of Glenn Beck show with massa and it was quite funny, Massa really dug himself some holes but didn’t give Glenn what he wanted. GB ended the show saying he had wasted the viewers time, imagine that I don’t expect he has ever said that before.
Massa did point a few fingers at Glenn for calling Americans names,(you know like socialist, commie), Glenn said he never did that.
Massa pulled back “he was pushed out”, took responsibility. Then the next minute said he was whipped everyway from Sunday by whips in congress and all the way down the chain of lesser whips.
He made a Rahmn joke which neither I nor GB got that it was a joke…He said Sorry about saying Rahmn would tie his grandmother or whatever to a truck, said he wouldn’t do that, but he would tie Massa’s kids to one, ha ha, that was really funny. He had to tell GB it was sarcastic, yeah like that’s what it was.
Over on WP earlier the crazies were really out today posting neg. things of course and lots of innuendo’s about Dems and sex.

Have a great time celebrating CBtY’s birthday!
Going from memory:
1 1/4 pounds lean turkey
1 egg
1/4 c. BBQ sauce
1/4 c. beef broth
1/2 chopped onion (medium)
2-4 minced garlic cloves, depending on your love of garlic.
1/4 c. ground flax seed
1/2 c. bread crumbs
Mix all ingredients together and press into an ungreased loaf pan. Top the loaf with another 1/2 c. of the BBQ sauce. Bake at 350 for 50 minutes. Easy, and perfect every time.
Btw – the last time I made this I chopped in a jalapeno. Next time I’ll add a few of its seeds as well – wasn’t very hot! 😉
we make that very mac-n-cheese for birthdays, too.
have a happy!
We’ve been eating lots of nummy Thai food, especially soups, for the last few days, but Imogen’s been the chef in that department so sorry, no recipes.
