Dan Conley coins a new term.
Conventional Wisdom is a funny thing … it seems to exist on several different planes simultaneously. Take, for example, Presidential campaign conventional wisdom. Here, the much maligned Washington pundits have full reign and even create their own so-ridiculous-they-even-copy-the-BCS scoring systems.
But then there’s the Democratic Party-only brand of conventional wisdom and, gasp, big wig bloggers tend to assume the roles of the national pundits. So as much as this is going to drive him crazy, I’m hereby annointing Duncan Black (Atrios) as the David Broder of lefty blogosphere conventional wisdom for his declaration that it’s a three-way race between Hillary Clinton, Barack Obama and John Edwards.
Fans of Al Gore, Evan Bayh, Joe Biden and others, feel free to mock the High Atriosity that’s stunting your campaign hopes.
Duncan may never hear the end it.
