Good news. My friends Mr. and Mrs. Noz have succeeded on appeal and will be bringing home a wonderful baby boy from Kazakhstan. Another couple (friends of ours) finally saw a heartbeat on their ultrasound today after many sad setbacks and frustrations. So, this day may not turn out so badly after all. That ABC News decided not to use Andrew Breitbart as an “analyst” is another piece of good news.
We really only have one hope today and that is that we have really high turnout that was not anticipated in the polls. I am getting mixed signals on turnout. It appears to be higher than expected in most places, but what is crucial is where it’s higher. The polls close in twenty-five minutes in Kentucky and Indiana. Look for the results in Rep. Ben Chandler’s (D-KY) and Baron Hill’s (D-IN) races to give you a clue about how the House is going. Obviously, we’ll be interested to see the early returns in the Rand Paul/Jack Conway race. The Indiana Senate race is a lost cause, but we’ll have that confirmed for us.
