This opinion piece in Dutch newspaper De Volkskrant churned my stomach, something that seldom happens. It’s vulgar, insane and illustrates the no-holds barred attitude of Israel and its mandarins to whitewash their criminal acts of the occupation and atrocities to the Palestinian people.
‘Islam has nothing to do with it all’ by Max Pam
ISIS, Boko Haram, Al Shabaab and the Taliban, has no relationship with Islam, writes Max Pam in his column. “Really, I’m telling you this.”
In northern Iraq, Isis carries out summary executions, which are strongly reminiscent of the pogroms that were originally performed by German troops on the Eastern Front. Those who were chosen to be executed were forced to lie in a pit. Then they were shot with machine gun fire. Or victims of Isis also had to dig their own pit was not visible on the by video captured killings, but would not surprise me.
ISIS goes one step further than the Sonderkommando. The SS was operating as much as possible in secret, apparently because there is still was a way deep sense of shame on the dirty work. But Isis is happy and with a certain pride to come forward with the ruthless killings. Especially for young people the murderous movement exercises a great appeal.
ISIS stands for ad-Dawla al-Islamiyya fi al-‘Iraq wa-sh-Sham, which is an abbreviation of the Islamic State in Iraq and the Levant. But make no mistake: ISIS has nothing to do with Islam. ISIS does not represent in any way the true Islam.
Nothing to do with religion
Actually, the occurrence of ISIS has nothing to do with religion It is about cultural and ethnic differences. The Sunnis against Shiites. By the disastrous actions of the United States and the lingering West created a vacuum in which these groups have emerged.
In Nigeria, Boko Haram is committing widespread war crimes. For instance, schoolgirls are kidnapped to be raped and murdered. This is reminiscent of what happened to schoolclasses of Jewish girls in the concentration camps. Boko Haram stands for Jama’atu Ahlis Sunna Lidda’awati Wal-Jihad, which means something like: the People that are Obliged to perform the Lessons of the Prophet and the Jihad. But make no mistake: Boko Haram has nothing to do with Islam. Boko Haram in no way represents the true Islam.
Actually, the occurrence of Boko Haram has nothimg to do with religion. These are cultural and ethnic conflicts: against education for girls, against wearing jeans and against what they perceive as ‘foreigners’. By the disastrous actions of the United States and the lingering West a vacuum was created in which these groups have emerged.
In Kenya Al Shabaab claimed responsibility for attacks in which dozens of people were killed. In addition, citizens were called forward to recite verses of the Quran. If they could not, they were shot. Al Shabaab stands for Harakat ash-Shabaab al-Mujahideen, which means something like The Movement of Growing Youth. But make no mistake: Al Shabaab has nothing to do with Islam. Al Shabaab in no way represents the true Islam.
And so on …

How dare you to use the atrocities of Nazi Germany during the Second World War to place Jews in the role of victimhood in today’s world where the West has outdone itself by committing war crimes in countries with a Muslim majority. Israelis and Netanyahu in the lead, have used this ugly propaganda tool on numerous occasions in confrontation with criticism of the occupation of Palestinian lands. International Law is not on the side of Israel, please don’t buy settlement goods from occupied West Bank and Gaza – see the BDS Movement.
At first the Sonderkommando opened mass graves near the Janowska camp in Lviv (Lwow). In August 1943 two units were created in Kyiv (Kiev) (Ukraine): “Sonderkommando 1005-A” and “Sonderkommando 1005-B“. “1005-A” operated in the Ukraine (between Dnipropetrovsk (Dnjepropetrowsk) and Berditchiv (Berditschew)), for example in Babi Yar. There Blobel’s “Einsatzgruppe 4a” had shot 33,771 Kyiv Jews on 29 and 30 September 1941. Afterwards “1005-A” was ordered to Berditchiv, Belaja Zerkov, Uman and Kamenets-Podolski. Because the Red Army was approaching, this unit was then sent to Zamosc (district Lublin), and finally to Lodz for the guarding of the deportation transports from the Lodz Ghetto to Auschwitz. “1005-B” cleared the mass graves in Dnipropetrovsk, Kriwoi Rog and Nikolaiev. Later the unit was sent to Riga, and was stationed at the Salaspils camp.
Local Sonderkommando were established in several other towns and regions, from the Baltic States to Yugoslavia (68,000 bodies). The Sonderkommando men finally served in Kärnten (Carinthia) in the anti-partisan unit “Einsatzgruppe Iltis” until the end of WW2.
