Gosh, oh gee.  You would think that Iraq funding would be worth voting on.  You would think that Feingold/Reid would be voting on.  You would think that standing up to Dick and W would be worth voting on.

If you’re a Senator and running for President, you’d think that they would think these issues would be worth voting on.

You’d be wrong!

Here’s the link to the vote for Feingold/Reid.  Note that the amendment failed, and notice who decided not to vote:

Biden (D-DE)
Clinton (D-NY)
Dodd (D-CT)
Feinstein (D-CA)
Obama (D-IL)

Mind you, Richardson, Gravel, Kucinich and Edwards couldn’t vote, since they’re not members of the Senate.  Feinstein’s a waste, so she’s not a surprise.

Let’s look at the vote on the actual funding bill and who didn’t vote for or against it:

Biden (D-DE)
Clinton (D-NY)
Dodd (D-CT)
Feinstein (D-CA)
Obama (D-IL)

Once again, Richardson, Gravel, Kucinich and Edwards couldn’t vote, since they’re not members of the Senate.  Feinstein’s a waste, so she’s not a surprise.

To me, the most disappointing name on the list is Dodd, if only because he seemed to have grown some spine yesterday.  Biden’s a disappointment, too, since he’s running (to a great extent) on his foreign policy experience.

I guess that they candidates want to be able to say that they didn’t vote for the extension of funding for the Iraq war and occupation.  They do get to say so now, but they can’t say they voted against it.

If you’re wondering who’s the leader against the war and occupation in Iraq, if you’re wondering who’d voted against the war and against all funding for the war and occupation in Iraq, you need only look to the House:

If you wish to donate to the leader against the war and occupation in Iraq, you can do so at Dennis’ web site online, via US Mail or via phone at 877.413.3664.

In case the point needs to be made on the war and occupation of Iraq:

As always, now more than ever,
