Welcome back!
This week we will continue with the painting depicting olympic skier Bode Miller. (Yes, too much Bode hype, but he did win two silver medals in the 2002 games.) The photo I am using is seen immediately bwlow. When last we left Bode, he appeared somewhat pale, seen immediately below the photo.
Since last week I’ve made several changes. I have spent some time refining Bode’s shape and posture in the interest of accruracy. Also, the head is now a little lower and closer to his chest. I’ve reduced the width of his chest and the size of his hands. Things are now in better proportion. After placement, proportion is the next most difficult aspect.
Although Bode has received some color, this is only a preliminary application. His high-tech skiing suit will become the dark blue pf the photo in the coming weeks. (And the details will be added.) I will also complete the vest and helmet. Of course Bode’s face will need completion. (including some narrowing.) Then I’ll move onto the skis, banner and background. The current state of Bode appears below.
That’s about it. See you next week.
