French muslim leaders have announced that from the start of this month, muslim girls will start a new protest against the ban on traditional muslim veils in French state schools.

Muslims are banned from wearing the veil that covers all but their eyes in a flowinging black costume in an attempt to separate completely church and state. April is the month when the national curriculum requires that students be taught about the French Constitution. In protest at the veil ban, muslim girls will cover their eyes during these lessons. On Saturday morning a group demonstrated these new eye coverings outside a mosque in Paris.

The Imam of the mosque, Ali Hussein al-Gothamiti, explained that the idea was conceal those parts normally uncovered by the full veil, which would fully comply with French law. Girls would be refusing to be taught about a political system that denied them the right to wear clothing needed to maintain their modesty in comformity with the Koran.

“It has also been pointed out that some non-believers are  fascinated by the concealing of all but the eyes of our girls and find the image of only their eyes being visible sexually attractive. This protest will also foil these infidels who are perverting the teachings of the Prophet”.

So far no other religious groups have decided to  organise similar protests. The ban covers overtly religious items such as large crosses or Stars of David, Sikh turbans and daggars and Bhuddist saffron robes. Asked about the Muslim protest, a leading Bhuddist scholar and monk responded that he would not promote the idea as it could provoke violent reaction. “They could be hit by their classmate who would mock them for being foolish” said Prem Era Vril.
