Hello again painting fans.
This week I will be continuing with the Main Street, Cold Spring, NY painting. The photo that I’m using is seen directly below. I’ll be using my usual acrylic paints on a 5×7 inch canvas.
When last seen, the painting appeared as it does in the photo seen directly below.
Since that time I have continued to work on the painting.
For this week’s cycle I’ve spent some time refining the buildings in the mid and far sections. To the far rear, I’ve taken out the brown building and given things a vertical orientation. It seems more consistent with the foreground structures. In the mid range, I’ve added porch and railing details. These will require further work. Additionally, some of these details will be partially overpainted with plants seen in the photo.
