Hello again painting fans.

This week I will be continuing with the Main Street, Cold Spring, NY painting.  The photo that I’m using is seen directly below.  I’ll be using my usual acrylic paints on a 5×7 inch canvas.

When last seen, the painting appeared as it does in the photo seen directly below.

Since that time I have continued to work on the painting.

For this week’s cycle I have continued to refine the mid section buildings.  Note the shadowed portions of the turreted building.  They have been overpainted with a thin white to achieve a soft slightly hazy effect.  Next door, the brick building has a heavily revised entry.  Note the steps and railing.  I’ve added the bush and low brick wall and revised the shadow.  The railing will need some further work.  That’s for next week.
