Good lord, Lindsey: have some fucking dignity.

Sen. Lindsey Graham, R-S.C., is expected to unveil a resolution Thursday condemning House Democrats’ impeachment inquiry and their decision to conduct the initial investigation behind closed doors.

Graham, chairman of the Senate Judiciary Committee, plans to introduce the resolution, co-sponsored by Senate Majority Leader Mitch McConnell, R-Ky., on Thursday afternoon, according to a press release from Graham’s office. The release slams the inquiry as “illegitimate,” echoing arguments made by the White House and President Donald Trump as part of the administration’s near-universal resistance to cooperating with a probe it has deemed invalid.

Sadly for Mr. Graham, Fox News legal analyst Andrew Napolitano had earlier explained to Bear and
друзья
Fox and Friends that the Democrats were not only well within their rights to hold these hearings behind closed doors, they were adhering to rules set by the Republicans in 2015, signed by then House Speaker John Boehner, and enforced in the last Congress by Trey Gowdy. Have a look-see, and make sure you enjoy Brian Kilmeade’s sad body language.

So what you are seeing here is a man has served in the federal government since 1994, first in the House before moving to the Senate in 2002, burning himself alive on the altar of Donald Trump. If Graham wasn’t such a shitty human being it would be sadder to watch than it already is. But to make things absolutely clear, Graham not only knows that the House is operating under rules set by his party four years ago, he intimately knows that the Senate doesn’t have any say at all in the way the House conducts its business. It’s called Article One, Section 5, Clause 2 of the US Constitution, and you don’t have to be a fancy-pants lawyer like Lindsey Graham to figure that out. It’s right there, in plain fuckin’ English:

Each House shall be the Judge of the Elections, Returns and Qualifications of its own Members, and a Majority of each shall constitute a Quorum to do Business; but a smaller Number may adjourn from day to day, and may be authorized to compel the Attendance of absent Members, in such Manner, and under such Penalties as each House may provide.

Each House may determine the Rules of its Proceedings, punish its Members for disorderly Behaviour, and, with the Concurrence of two thirds, expel a Member.

This why I call Lindsey Graham a shrieking ninny and a drama queen. Like the rest of his party, Lindsey is terrified that the truth will continue to come out detailing the extent of not only his president’s corruption, but the corruption looming over the entire administration and the party apparatus. Already, the best and the brightest low-lifes and thugs like Kevin McCarthy have had to return illegal foreign campaign contributions as a result. Every day brings more bad news—and Lindsey’s latest intemperate outburst shows the panic is metastasizing.

These are people who will eventually have regrets. They’re cowards who will do anything to avoid that day of reckoning.
