This last spring, a group of student power activists began a campaign at the University of Connecticut to increase student awareness and involvement on campus. This campaign included at 3 week camp out in the middle of campus, several speakers, and several elections. I was elected to student government, and a high school friend of mine was elected to the board of trustees.  The Hartford Courant just ran an article on him, and a link and some quotes are after the flip.
“Many people feel he is a radical. I just feel he is a step in the right direction, toward progress, toward positive student activism,”
With this victory, we succeeded far more than we thought possible. Hopefully we can continue this streak, and transform this “party school” to “a notoriously liberal institution”
