Welcome back!

This week we are continuing with the Victorian home that was the subject of the previous diary.  (Seen directly below.)  The painting was at the stage seen in the second photo below the  at the close of last week’s installment.

For this week, I’ve started to paint in the windows, shadows under the eaves and in the porches.  The shapes are close to what their final forms will be but some adjustment is still necessary.  The current state of the painting is seen below.  The purple wall below the porches will return to white when I get back to it.

Of course, I’ve changed colors from the photo, gray has become purple.  Other colors have not changed in this way but have become brighter.  I simply felt like having some fun with this and not being a slave to a photo.  Note that the sky will lighten before I’m done.

I’ve tried to keep this lose and not overly fussy unlike my first painting of this structure.  I’ll continue on and have some dramatic changes next week.

I’ve added a poll below.  I’m proposing a virtual exhibition of Tribbers’ art work and would like you to add your own photos to this thread.  I’ve proposed December 3 as the date.  Let me know how you feel about this.  If we can get together on that date, the only thing I ask is that photos are kept small.  Thanks for taking the poll.

See you next week.
