Welcome back!
This week I will continue with the painting of the New Mexico Zuni Mesa seen in the photo below. Once again, although the photo is not my own, I have been to the site many times in my travels.
When we finished last time the painting appeared as depicted in the photo immediately below.
Well, this week I have something a little different. Shown directly below is how I changed the sky, as I was unhappy with the single central cloud. It just seemed to do nothing more than mirror the mesa below. So, I added two others.
But I was still unhappy with the result. So I changed it yet again. I made a single large horizontal cloud and placed it off to one side. I am now much happier. It is shown directly below.
Well, next week I will start the foreground, finally. See you then.
