People are dying every hour of the day because of this man in Iraq. Women will die in backrooms again because of this man and his followers in the State of South Dakota. To add to the carnage, HIV+ men, women and children are now in even more danger because of this man and his disgusting political party.

From the Advocate:

President Bush has named five new appointees to the President’s Advisory Council on HIV/AIDS, one of whom is an antigay Baptist minister with no experience in the AIDS arena and two others who have deep ties to the pharmaceutical industry. One of the appointees is a Philadelphia minister, the Reverend Herbert Lusk, head of the Greater Exodus Baptist Church and a former Philadelphia Eagles football player.

Lusk, who publicly endorsed George W. Bush in the 2000 and 2004 presidential elections, has lobbied for a federal amendment restricting marriage to heterosexual couples as a member of the board of advisers for the antigay group Alliance for Marriage, opposes adoptions by gay men and lesbians, and pushes for abstinence-only sex education programs.

Lusk has no professional experience in health care or with AIDS issues, say AIDS advocates, but was nevertheless appointed by Bush to help shape federal AIDS policies.

As someone who has lost countless loved ones to Aids and knows too many HIV+ people I am outraged yet again by just how disgusting this Administration can be. The contempt that this man and his cabal have for those less fortunate than themselves strips them of any right to call themselves Christians, a label they wear to deceive others. They are the anti-Christians, make no mistake about it. Could this man be more responsible if he killed all the above named groups with his own hands? The stroke of his pen making these atrocious laws and the stroke of his Presidential power do so much more harm in the world than good. That is not what we elect a President to do.

I wish fervently for this man to be impeached and to spend all his remaining days powerless over anyone but his own miserable self. To say this man will be remembered as the worst abuser of power in our entire nation’s history is an understatement.
