This Fourth of July is the first in about a decade that I won’t be spending on my parent’s roof in Fairmount, watching Philadelphia’s fireworks show over the Philadelphia Museum of Art. My wife hasn’t been feeling well lately and my parents, in recent years, have taken to inviting all of the regulars from their corner bar. Lovely people to be sure, but I’ve found that I prefer seeing them at the bar. The Phillies have a fireworks show in South Philly, tomorrow night and the next, which I will have a very good view of from my roof deck, so all is not lost. Happy Fourth of July!
